Hilarious and sexy! I was laughing the entire time while reading Judge Me by Abby Knox. There were just lots of funny moments here. At the same time, I was wondering if the author took inspiration from the celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay when she created the MMC here. Lol.
It's all about 48-year-old celebrity chef Phillip Wildwood and 23 year-old American stand-up comedian Chloe Williams. These two met in the UK when Chloe decided to become part of Phillip's reality baking show. Her sole purpose was to get closer to him and make him fall for her, and not to compete as a baker-- because she definitely sucks in the kitchen. Lol.
Aside from the hilarious scenes, there are definitely lots of sexy times here too. In the end, it turned out to be a sweet, quick love story that I thought the characters deserved. Of course, their story was hard to believe in lots of aspects, but hey. Even so, the fun this book had to offer was enough to make it worth a read.

Loved it! If there is an MMC that is considered to be one of the sweetest MMCs in the world, that would be Torque. He's very caring to Ronnie and was always there to protect her and help her in times of trouble. This was a sweet novella and I can feel how sincere and pure these characters are for each other.

It was Hallow's birthday night when she and her friend attended a party with lots of booze. She discovered that her three childhood crushes, who are also her brother's best friends, were there too. Guy, Rune, and Regan. I have read this blindly so I didn't have any idea what this was all about. And what a smutfest this was. Lol. If you're looking for a quick, smutty read with no concrete plot at all, this reverse harem novella is a perfect idea.

This is kind of like a very short version of November 9 by CoHo where the main characters make it a tradition to see each other every year, and I find it sweet! In the case of Lyric Evermore and Annie McIntyre, the first time they met was during Thanksgiving when no one was there to celebrate with them since they are both away from their families. They decided that, why not meet every Thanksgiving to remind them about their presence? Little did they know that each time they met, they also started to develop a deeper connection and feelings toward each other. I loved how this novella was delivered. It was short and sweet but you can definitely feel the feelings both characters have for each other. I am so looking forward to reading another work from K. Bromberg. Her writing is always amazing!

What the hacker! Haha! I was laughing out loud and I can say I definitely enjoyed this second installment of Sweet Little Sinners series by Cassie Mint at least until 60%. I was no longer a fan after, because our heroine Frankie decided to be moody and insecure when she went home and personally met Luca Bianchi. From there it kind of extinguished the fire and romance for them. I loved when they were exchanging conversations and bantering over the phone before that, tho. Their interactions are fun, and I loved how the narration, as always, had humor in it. I felt both characters' irresistible chemistry in the beginning from their flirtings and banters, and I was really hoping it would remain like that until the end. I loved that it showed a HEA scene nevertheless. Excited to read June's story next!
P.S. There are some gory things here (because the MMC is a mobster and is doing some underground dirty work), so just be aware and read at your own risk.

This was unexpectedly soo good! I thoroughly enjoyed this novella and how the romance between Baylee Young and Dylan Fox ended up being so sweet and lovely. I admired Baylee's sassiness and how she didn't let Dylan scare her off completely by being such a cold and strict boss. The steamy scenes are steaming you could definitely fan yourself at how hot and into each other they are. I also thought it was great that there was some tension and conflict going on since it gave the plot more depth. If you want a quick, easy office romance read with a grumpy hero on the side, this one's for you!

This was a fun, light-hearted Regency romance accompanied by body-positivity message. I loved how both characters, Sophia Westcott and Sinclair Montgomery, were into each other since the very beginning. No dramas, no unnecessary angst. Just pure attraction that progressed into romance. I especially loved the independence of Sophie and how she bloomed into such a positive woman despite being a widow. Sinclair was also sweet and gentlemanly despite his notorious reputation as a rake. This was a short and steamy novella where characters are likable and where HEA is guaranteed.

I wasn't into the story nor the characters. I honestly didn't like the way Gabe approached Lynne and how creepy he was at times. It's my first time reading an age-gap romance where the FMC is a lot older (13 years difference) than the MMC. There isn't anything wrong with their relationship. It's just that I am also not comfortable with them starting a relationship knowing full well that Gabe is Lynn's son's best friend and it could taint their friendship. Well, to each their own, I think.

What was so adorable about The One Night by Meghan Quinn was how family-oriented it was, and the parents of each main character are pushing them to date someone for them to be happy. Cooper Chance and Nora McHale are already content being single. For them, they don't need another person to justify their happiness. But Cooper's parents think otherwise, so they decided to act as his wingmen and find a chick in the city for him. When they went to a bar, what are the chances that Nora was there at the same time? Nora, who was Cooper's ex-wife's best friend and who's also a family friend. Cooper's parents soon decided to root for them together.
I can't help but laugh at some of the scenes here. It was such a fun and light read. I also find Meghan Quinn's writing engaging. She has a way with words! The only thing I didn't like here was the ending. I was questioning one of the character's stupid decisions and how it ended up that way. For me, it was a bit immature. Otherwise, I look forward to reading the continuation of this through The Reunion.

I don't back down from books that take me out of my comfort zone. In fact, I have read some of the books of J.J. Argus which are a bit similar to this theme. But with this book, man, I have to draw the line. Nope. To say it's horrendous is an understatement. It's totally inhumane and unimaginable. The Prince and his mother and everyone in that stupid castle are the worst of all! I can't believe what they did to Beauty and those royals who fell slave under their mercy. I could not stand it. I know this is all a work of fiction but still, how can this author who is known for her popular works write such a thing? It's sick af....more

I've been reading books lately where the MMCs are jealous and possessive to the point where it's already unhealthy. I'm sad the MMC here is one of those. I thought at first Bronx was sweet, calm, and mature enough since he's way much older than Gemma but when I reached that part where Gemma was seeing someone and the guy insulted her, I was just annoyed how Bronx reacted. He had to prove a point that he doesn't mess around when it comes to Gemma and of course, slam the guy's face in the bar. Like wtf man. I love me some protective strong man, but if it's done too much, CRINGE. I'm out.
It's not my first time reading a work of Alexa Riley but I think her books are a hit-or-miss for me. This one focuses heavily on the HEA and while I find it sweet, I feel like it's missing uniqueness. I wasn't invested with the characters and the romance because I feel like there's nothing new. There was a little bit of angst here but it failed to connect with me. I think the only redeeming factor was Alexa's writing style. She writes good and I can tell from that alone why her works are popular....more
I have been looking for romantasy books with faes as the main characters, so when I found this on my Goodreads recommendations, I instan3 Stars

I have been looking for romantasy books with faes as the main characters, so when I found this on my Goodreads recommendations, I instantly upped it on my TBR. The story revolves around Rennick, an heir of the Mountain Kingdom in the fae world of Eden, and Amelia, a human girl whose name was whispered to Rennick by the gods as his mate when he was thirteen years old. Because he still can't cross the border that separates the fae and human worlds, he waited until he was twenty-five in order to see her and claim her. While waiting, he was sending her letters and gifts to let her know of his presence.
I was convinced I'm going to love this book because of the extremely appealing premise. First, I love faes, and I love royal characters, so these two concepts combined??? Sign me up! I was swooning at the beginning because I found the love letters from Rennick so cute. But then... Hahaha! When he started dirty talking in letters and started becoming a possessive perv by killing just to keep her away from unwanted suitors, my jaw dropped to the floor, and ugh. It wasn't what I expected. I know that the author warned readers in her note at the beginning that this is not the typical fantasy novel and that the characters have morally black choices in the name of love, but still, it felt off to me in many ways.
I still ended up liking it, especially that the FMC is one brave woman and she stood up for herself despite the fact that she grew up in an orphanage. It was such an admirable move for her to fight for her love for Rennick despite knowing that there is another woman that is obsessed with him. She didn't let that happen! Hands-down!
This book would have been perfect and would have had lots of potential if more fantasy aspects had been highlighted. I loved the concept of animals being their familiars and the world-building. The settings are pretty solid, especially with the map shown in the beginning. I might read the next book of this series to see if the next story is even better. This one had a good HEA, and I am looking forward to seeing the supporting characters's story play out in the upcoming books as well.

The chemistry was overflowing in this novella. And so is the spice! It's the first time for me to read a work of Rhianna Burwell and I can say she really did amazing in creating characters that have a special appeal and are perfect for each other. I loved the romantic build-up between Jax and Olivia which began as a faint attraction when Olivia first stepped into his tattoo shop while she was still in a relationship with Greg, Jax's the rival tattoo artist who was a jerk.
This novella was straight to point, no messing around when it comes to smut. At the same time, it didn't leave behind the romance. Both Jax and Olivia are likable characters. Jax was the perfect balance of sweet, sexy and intense and that's one of the things I like in an MMC that is a sometimes a miss in romance books.
If you are into quick, easy smutty reads, you might want to read this. :D

This turned out to be a fun and guilty-pleasure read. It's been a long time since a sexy nerd MMC is featured in a book so I was happy to have encountered the character Spencer Arnoult. He is all kinds of sweet and he makes the FMC Tabitha shine in her own way (despite the fact that she is a thief. Lol)
I feel like these kinds of stories are the best way to break a reading slump. Thief, for example, made me smile and giggle as these two characters collided in an awkward yet hilarious way. Despite getting stressed and furious with what Tabitha did at his house, he instead fell for her. Sounds really unbelievable if we think about it, but man, I was buying it! Lol. Their chemistry was insane and I loved how sweet their story turned out in the end. It's my first Cassie Mint read and I adore her writing style which was entertaining and engaging. I would definitely read more books from this author!

This one's very heavy on insta-love, but it's apparent how the story was meant to be that way. Most of the time I get annoyed with insta-love, but it was well-delivered and justified. Lucy Darling is a new-to-me author and already I can tell she writes deliciously and she weaves her characters in a way to could make a romance reader swoon, no matter how insta-lovey the story is.
Colden Jackson and Penelope Sinclair are both likable characters. Their first encounter was funny and steamy which I enjoyed a lot. I also love how easy it was for Colden to fall for Penelope and how despite being such a rich and Alpha guy, he remains true to his core to never be involved with women if he can't see them as his future wife. It's rare to find MMC with that kind of trait, so plus points! Why 3 out of 5 stars? I feel like this story has a good potential if it was longer and not a novella. The plot has plenty of opportunities to explore when it comes to character and romantic development. However, this still turned out well and I loved their HEA. If you want a quick and easy spicy read, this is definitely a good idea!

I was blown away after finishing this book. Colleen Hoover, as always, continues to stun me with her crafts. All the time I was hating the narrator Leeds Gabriel, but I didn't expect that the tides would turn the other way when the plot twist happened. For me, that is already enough to rate the book higher than what I initially thought I would.
The story revolves around Leeds Gabriel and Layla who met at a Victorian-style bed and breakfast in Kansas when Leeds' band played and peformed for the newly wed couple. Layla happened to be the sister of the bride and she was the only one who seemed to be enjoying their music. Both of them felt deeply connected the first time they talked at the pool and later on in the book, their simple one-night-stand relationship progressed to the point where they decided to commit to each other. It didn't quite end up well as awful things eventually happened, putting Layla's life in danger.
I went to this book not knowing anything. I also didn't know it was a paranormal romance, so when I got to the part where creepy things started to happen, I was freaking out. The plot was done so well! I love how well-thought-out the concept is. I feel like this could turn into a good movie. I admit that I saw the plot twist coming around 60% of the book when things already started to make sense, and even though I was right, I still felt the goosebumps when it hit.
I thought it had a pretty good ending, but I wished it offered a lot more in an intense way. It could have been more epic if freakier things happened. But CoHo's decision to take a safer route and give the characters the ending they deserve was understandble. All in all, it was such a page-turner! It was addictive and hauntingly beautiful and the story is something that I could not easily forget.

This is my third Paulo Coelho book and once again, I was reminded of how great an author he is. So many valuable life lessons have been incorporated here and I couldn't be thankful enough that I finally gave myself time to read this book after years of it being stuck on my TBR.
The story revolves around Esther and the book's narrator (not named) who was a bestselling author and her husband. When Esther went missing, the narrator's world shifted into pure obsession with finding her and reclaiming their marriage. He soon met Mikhail whom Esther was last seen with in a café and who eventually changed his life and the way he perceived the world.
I couldn't deny that I spent most of the time hating the narrator because he was an egotistical man and so full of himself. Later on though, he developed into a man with better perception and better judgment toward other people, which for me, was quite remarkable.
Most of the passages in this book were relatable and they made sense to me. I love how it made me stop, ponder, and reflect. The way Paulo Coelho wrote those lines was truly impactful. Of course this was not a perfect book, as there were things that I also found difficult to believe. It was impossible for me to imagine how those things could exist in reality. I was also kind of not 'sold' on the ending. I was like, okay... it ended like that? I had to look on Google and search for ending explanations. However, with all its flaws, it was the general impact that made me appreciate this book above all.

Wow! I did not expect this short story to be this suprising. The Cat: Short Story is the kind that keeps you reading just to see what happens next, because it's difficult to predict where everything will end up. At first, I thought it's all cuteness and fluffiness (because of the title), but wow, I was stunned to see it's totally different from what I expected. It has this dark side that also made me question the nature of the characters in general-- especially John. I admire the writing style of the author. It was very engaging and flawless.
The ending was kind of a shocker. To be honest, I am not sure if everything that happened was the doing of the cat, or if it was entirely John's, but I was mind-blown nonetheless.
"I know what you're thinking," John said. "You think you do a better job of protectig this family than I do." He sighed deeply. "And I think you might be right."

I always find it irresistible when characters already exude undeniable chemistry from the very beginning, and this is the case between Rachel Price and Jake Compton. They met at a bar when Rachel was there to drown out her sadness after receiving a devastating email that will affect her career, while Jake was there to save her from an annoying stranger that was trying to hit on her. They soon felt that irresistible pull that led them to have a one-night stand at a hotel Rachel was staying at.
Yes, there was insta-lust and there was insta-connection. But I think it was done in a way that would make you feel more curious about what's going to happen next. Because I am. Curious. How will they meet again when they didn't even reveal each other's names? I can't wait to find out!

There is always beauty in short stories, and The Land Without Rain by Brigitte Novalis definitely has that. I loved how it made me feel like a kid all over again while following the journey of the main character, the King, on his way to chase the rain that would give a solution to the problem in his land. This was such a unique story, one that is told in a simple and lighthearted manner. It was like reading fables -- those kinds of stories I was reading as a child. What is more important to note about this book is the life lessons we get from it. It simply tells us that sometimes, it's not about the success that defines our journey. It's the journey itself. With its exquisite illustrations, this was also beautifully done, and it delighted my imagination in a lot of ways.
