What could have been better: * That is the weirdest school. You have to learn to shield before you can do a potion, so lesson one is shielding. But lesson 2 is potion making even though no one has proved they can shield properly yet. ...more

Allie and Mal find another dead body and this time Paige is the main suspect and the whole family withdraws which makes Allie mad at Trent. But she keeps investigating as usual and eventually finds the murderer. It is yacht week at the island so there is a lot going on and a special surprise for Francis.
I really like the characters in this series as well as the setting on Mackinaw Island.

What I enjoyed: * Caro is a fun character. She actually thinks before she acts most of the time. * Diana - her passion for dogs and life comes through. * I like that Betty from Mel's books crossed over and met Caro and Diane at a self defense course.
What could have been better: * The whole feud between Caro and Mel is played out and I wish they would just reconcile. * Caro and Sam's relationship needs to grow some.
