ARC review for 'Beautiful Sin' by Jennilynn Wyer
'Beautiful Sin' is an amazing start for the new dark why choose series. A series I will love to pieces, if the pace and storytelling remain the same throughout the other two installments.
We meet Synthia, a young innocent woman who has no recollection of her past beside bone-chilling nightmares she's been enduring for most of her life. She's about to start her education at the prestigious Darling Founders University. She's here on a scholarship and is determined to become a doctor to help those simmilar to her, people with severe physical and emotional trauma.
One night an unfortunate event put three deadly handsome and lethal men in her way. Tristan, Hendrix and Constantine are entitled rich men, nine months away from taking their respectful place in the Society, a secret organisation made and run for people hungry for power and money. Tris, Hen and Con are eager to take that power back and send to hell those who raised them.
When the world spins on its axis, the four of them are suddenly forced to adjust to a new reality. Now Syn's in the middle of interest of the Society and some Russian rivals, and the boys have to take her under their protection and find out her real identity.
This story is compelling from the first to the last breathtaking scene. It's flawlesly written giving small crumbs away about all the characters and their past, shedding layers of boys' characters and bringing out Syn's fierce and dormant nature. The mystery of Syn's past brings enemies closer, but also pulls Tris, Hen and Con into her gravity. Beside, the chemistry and connection is instant and immense like the four elements come as one. It's beautiful to watch how the four of them change and evolve, and start to work as a unit.
I liked everything about this book. Even this heart-wrenching cliffhanger. But I know it will be worth to wait to see the Phoenix rising from the ashes.
