Forgive Me (Forgive Me #1)

I love this author’s books. She’s one of my go-to’s for anything dark. I loved the set up, the worlding building, and the characters in this one. This will be a series I’ll be collecting for my paperback shelf.
I love how Francis is torn between his vows and his nature, and the way his past slowly is revealed. He and Vitari have more in common than they think, especially where their pasts are concerned. They are both realistically portrayed and by a few pages in, I already wanted them to find a way to get their HEA, although I doubt it’s going to be without sacrifice and a lot of violence and angst.
The action is tense, with high stakes, and I already have my suspicions as to who is really moving players on this chess board. I liked how the author doesn’t pull punches with the church or the mafia. I’m looking forward to how it all fits together as the series unfolds.
More please.
