This was the final book of the three in this series. The three main characters are witches on an island in the middle of Lake Huron. It’s the kind of place that closes up by necessity for the winter due to ice and snow. The three have formed a coven and try to help ghosts find their way or find out who killed them and why. Also, figure out what object they are each attached to. All of these books have a new romance for each of the witches. This was Alice’s turn. She meets Colin who has just bought a huge old hotel on the island. He grew up spending summers at the hotel, but has never met Alice due to her grandparents not letting her do much except work at their antique shop. He immediately is charmed by her and for her part she feels a zing go through her unlike anything she’s ever felt before. There’s also ghost drama taking place on the island and of course the witches get involved. I enjoyed the characters as usual and even the ghosts that hang out in the haunted mansion one of the witches lives in. The ghost butler was such a fun addition to all of the books.
The author says this is the final book and then leaves it wide open for a whole new book in the end. A whole new ghost. I’m hoping she revisits these witches in some way or even a new series that is hinted at. I can hope!
Narration by Amanda Ronconi and Teddy Hamilton was perfect as usual. Recommended!
