4.5 ⭐️

First, I'd like to say thank you to the publisher and the author for an ARC of this book. I am truly honored and feel so lucky.

This was the perfect conclusion to what has become one my favorite fantasy romance series. These books are so incredibly addicting. They draw you in and you become so emotionally invested in the characters.

After the ending of the third book, that had me staring at the wall crying at 1 am I might add, I was so nervous for this final book. Anything that could have gone wrong did, and there were so many moments where I could not imagine how they were going to get out of all of these awful situations. As usual, Nisha found ways to surprise me and threw in quite a few plot twists as well.

One of my favorite things, aside from Nadir and Lor, about this series is the unique world and the various kingdoms. The way they are written creates such a vivid image in my mind to the point that I truly feel like I am there. I love that in this book we got to meet all of the rulers of Ouranous and how they all had to come together to prevent history from repeating itself. Not to mention the full circle moment of Lor starting the series with deadly trials and also ending with them!!! Her character arc throughout the series is unparalleled. She is so cunning, loyal, brave and resourceful and she never gave up fighting for what she believed in.

On to the romance.... Nadir is my dream man. He is a unique twist on a "shadow daddy" and I am here for it! The slow burn romance throughout the series between Lor and Nadir was so deliciously painful but so worth the wait because they are unstoppable by the end of book 4. Not to mention that the spice got hotter with every book! 🔥 🔥 🔥 Watching their journey to finding happiness made my heart melt.

I am sad to say goodbye and only have one minor thing that I wish would've been included in this book. I wish we got to see a bit more of Lor as queen as she rebuilds her queendom. This was such a large part of the series so I think this would have been nice to see. Overall, this book was amazing and truly a very satisfying conclusion to the series.
