Wedding Bet (Fixer Brothers Construction Co #8)

3.5⭐️
I’ve enjoyed all the books in The Fixer Brothers series. In particular, I think the author is so good at creating charming and lovable characters - like Jamie and Landry. I’d say there’s not a lot of focus on the fake dating aspect, which I don’t mind. Jamie and Landry’s fake boyfriend’s bet was a fun way to put these two together and I loved the lovely Colorado winter wonderland setting. I liked their chemistry and Jamie is especially endearing, their first wonderfully awkward elevator meeting was a promising start. These two have wonderful chemistry, they like each other right off, neither is attached, and they both dream of finding love. So, all their hesitation and the drawn out one step forward, two steps back dynamic seemed unnecessary. I wish they didn’t drag their feet so long as I would have loved seeing more of them together for real. Even in the epilogue, eighteen months later, their relationship doesn’t feel like it progressed much, it still felt a bit tentative. I liked these characters, and would have loved a bit more romance for them.
I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book.
