5 Making faces Stars*****
When I started to read this book I honestly didn't really know what it was about, I've seen it everywhere here on Goodreads but went in clueless.(I read some reviews after I started). I don't know what I expected but it is a truly inspiring and beautiful read about how to not take life for granted, how to not judge on appearance's and lastly how to live life.

Ambrose is an attractive man he knows it and everyone around him knows it, he can have who he wants, he's young and enjoying his youth. He is also a wrestler and the best which means he has a lot on his shoulders for his friends, his father, his couch and his town. He's built strong and big but he also thinks for himself and takes things for granted but we don't know what our future holds do we? nor what path we will go down?

Fern as a child is ugly, red hair in pigtails, freckles, glasses, braces and she lives in her books, she is quiet but appearances are deceiving.

BAILEY
He is my favourite character hands down LOVE HIM. He is Ferns cousin they have gown up together and are best of friends they're inseparable. Bailey has Dushenne muscular dystrophy and is wheelchair bound and Fern has been the person at his side all his life and his carer alongside his mum and dad. He is also very straightforward there are no qualms from him he says it how it is, he's learnt to depend on others and also how to live the life he has been given. He gives out the best advice and always knows what to say at the right time. There is something simply beautiful and unique about Bailey, when life treats you in a certain way you see it as it is, you see it much clearer to people who take life for granted. And that is Bailey 100% beautiful.
Ambrose is fed up with having to win and compete, to stand strong he wants a break, he just wants some time away, so persuades his four best friends to sign up and become a soldier and eventually be sent to fight for their country in Iraq. He's not really thinking about his friends and there family's so much as it's something he wants to do and he doesn't want to do it alone.

Fern has loved Ambrose since she was a little girl but he doesn't know she exists until Fern and Baileys friend Rita takes an interest in him and they date but in doing that Ambrose and Rita but actually 'Fern' wrote those letters to each other to get to know each other. When finding out that Fern was the one that wrote those words Ambrose is embarrassed and hurt, so ignores Fern. Fern is also embarrassed but is used to the lack of attention and the fact that people apart from Bailey and there families knows the person she is. Ambrose and his friends could be cruel to her but there's also something in Ambrose that he's ignoring, ignoring the attraction he doesn't want to have because she's Ugly.
And off they go and everything changes.....

Fern has changed time moves forward and so does her appearance, she no longer has the glasses, the braces, and the pigtails and she becomes the beautiful girl that we all know she is right?!!

Iraq has changed Ambrose. Gone with the young, carefree young man who loved life and laughed with his friends but here we have a tortured soul, he's full of guilt and he's hiding. In Iraq there was a tragic accident and he has lost his friends and his appearance and know longer is the attractive man he was but here we have a new face.
And Fern is the only person who is there to pull him through and to teach him how to grab life with what we're given and to laugh again, and Bailey teaches him to move forward. And slowly but surely they live, smile, sing, dance, fall in love and are Happy.

This story is well written and to me was a truly inspiring read..
It is simply perfect....

"Isaiah 53:2 it says, "For he shall grow up before him as a tender plant, and as a root out of dry ground: he hath no form nor comeliness; and when we shall see him, there is no beauty that we should desire him."
