This was fun. I found it quite entertaining to see how King's kingdom came to be. There were sacrifices to be made and obstacles to overcome, but in all this, King found his family.

I remember reading the Red Years and I always wondered why Sam was so important to King. Now I realize that she was just as important as Søren! She sacrificed and laid the world at his feet. All for love and loyalty. Its was amazing! It was also fun dealing with the back and forth between King and Søren! You get to see a side to Søren that not even Nora got to see often. You could feel the love they shared and see that they had a true bond of friendship, not just as lovers.

Overall this was amazing. I got an introduction to basically everyone who was ever mentioned in the Red Years and got to see how they all came to be at the 8th circle. The great scandal was stretched quite thin but very amusing to finally have all the pieces put together. Oh and I can't forget Fionn. That was a HUGE surprise!
