Unfortunately I'm stuck not knowing what will happen with Skye or the Triune. It really sucks. I don't even know if the next book exists yet which means if I can't find it I won't be continuing this now or in the future. The series as a whole doesn't have enough adventure for all the talk they have about what needs to be done and who is after the queen. ...more

I found it quite entertaining to see how King's kingdom came to be. There were sacrifices to be made and obstacles to overcome, but in all this, King found his family.
I remember reading the Red Years and I always wondered why Sam was so important to King. Now I realize that she was just as important as Søren! She sacrificed and laid the world at his feet. All for love and loyalty. Its was amazing! It was also fun dealing with the back and forth between King and Søren! You get to see a side to Søren that not even Nora got to see often. You could feel the love they shared and see that they had a true bond of friendship, not just as lovers.
Overall this was amazing. I got an introduction to basically everyone who was ever mentioned in the Red Years and got to see how they all came to be at the 8th circle. The great scandal was stretched quite thin but very amusing to finally have all the pieces put together. Oh and I can't forget Fionn. That was a HUGE surprise! ...more

Im not quite sure who was dumber, Joan or Elliot. They were truly a match made in hell and heading towards destruction. I loved their "relationship". Joan spent a lot of time in denial while Elliot threw himself into a maddening obsession. I believe on some level Joan began to love Elliot. When she ran, she came back. When she thought he had died, she cried. When she punished him, she became obsessed. When she got him back, she lied, killed, and took in a fugitive just to keep him.
No matter what happened in life, she always gave in and gave him a way to come back to her.
Now Elliot is a different story. I believe he was more obsessed with loving Joan than he was really in love with her. Something dark inside her spoke to him and he found her hard to resist. He was willing to do anything for her, even plead guilty. In the end, she was his weakness and although he had to give his little birdie back her wings, he still got to keep her. ...more

Frog hit every button known that will stun the kinkiest of them on occasion. It definitely fit perfectly into the section of dark erotica.
What intrigued me the most was that it was a couple doing the kidnapping, not some power hungry or shatter man. It made it that much better to witness Brenda in her element. ...more

However, it took my slow ass forever to pick up the connection from Lost Star. The dynamics between Seht and Ravnos was more than anything I could have imagined after reading the first book. Seht's submission to Ravnos still grabs me because he does it for all the right reasons. And then to add Victoria into the mix made the story hotter than ever before!!! ...more

The most intriguing aspect of this book is the development of her relationship with Jacob. They experience so many twists and turn, ups and downs. Neither wanting to come to true terms of what the other NEEDS the relationship to be. Neither being able to resist what they WANT the relationship to be. The dynamics of every emotion was amazing. And when Lyssa finally gave into her true desire, I was almost speechless. This is the perfect way to begin a series. Leave the storyline in the background and give the reader a full understanding of the main characters. ...more

I absolutely love this series! This book ties up all loose ends. I hate how some authors will will create issues and then leave you wanting more. This book doesn't do that. Although, it does have a minor cliffhanger, even though if you're smart it's not a cliffhanger at all.
There is so much to be said about this book, but so little i can actually say. It revolves around an essential person who cannot be named, therefore i will remain silent. I wouldn't want to ruin the suspense for anyone else.
Overall, this was amazing. There was tragedy, hate, love, obsession, desire, heartache, and enough painful passion to last a lifetime. ...more
