It’s easy to follow and the story makes me want to go back and see the build up. Lars is really close to being my favorite character of the year. I loved the development of the relationship between him and his Druid. They were the definition of enemies to lovers with only the sexual charge pushing them along at first. It wasn’t instalove. It took time, no patience, and tragedy to help them get there. ...more

This seems more like a Stockholm syndrome type of relationship but I was thoroughly captivated! I wish the chapters would have included Alexanders point of view because even in the end he is still mysterious. Only having one side of the story is frustrating. The story development was direct and still managed to twist me up inside. So many lies and half truths. So many bombshell truths that shatter the floor beneath you. For the dark and depraved this is definitely a story for you. If you can find enjoyment in Lily White, Pepper Winters or Alaska Angelini then this is the story for you! It literally set my little black heart ablaze!...more

I can’t even describe the depravity of the story but I absolutely couldn’t put it down! It’s captivating and wild and so damn disturbing that it was right to come with a warning label.
However, it wasn’t quite as dark as I thought it would be but it was a definite line crosser. Let me rephrase that, Saint wasn’t as dark as i wanted him to be. Yes he was vicious and he enjoyed doing his job, but when it came to Meissa, he never really crossed into the extreme (except for the only blood play scene which made Mei more depraved than him).
Its seems to me that this installment was more focused on Mei, all the extra family difficulties with Saint were just to give him a word in. It was nice to have but unnecessary. The story was good with or without his family input. Now as for Mei, this was all about her. I love the way her character developed, or in better words fell apart. I felt it happening and i could see the glass shattering every step of the way.
This story was pure brilliance to the dark souls of the readers. I cannot wait for the next book!!!!...more

The characters were amazing. Anna has to be the best female lead i have ever encountered. She was so complex and troubled. Spending her whole life trying to be better, trying to suppress her true self. Her rise and downfall was perfect. It was so much easier to feel who she was and connect to her when she was her true self.
Braden was not really necessary. Him and his love for Anna is completely flawed. He kept mentioning the darkness inside him, i knew for sure i would find out how depraved he was. But no, i am left wondering why he even bothered. Anna goes against every fiber of who he is. After her slip, he should have learned and after he found out who she was he should have ran and never looked back.
OAN: I have this idea that "No one's" brother knows. And if not then who was he always talking to on the phone???!!!?!? It was definitely someone connected to their past! But who??
And why is Braden all of a sudden hell bent on finding out more about Jade??!?! After he found out he refused to acknowledge the murder but now its at the forefront of his mind. As if it will change his opinion of him and Anna. As if everything else was unimportant. As if Anna admitting to enjoying killing wasn't enough to put curiosity to rest! He has already decided what he would do, why keep digging the hole deeper???...more
