It wasn’t even a situation where me, the reader, was kept in the loop while the “mate” was left blind. Even basic sign language would have worked by this time. Find a way ugh lol...more

I do have one question though, it was heavily implied that aspects are a piece of the godbeast … so does that mean that one god can have multiple aspects??? Not a bad thought, i like a good harem story every now and then.

Her hangups are normal issues of a person with a history of abandonment however she IS NOT a victim. Even things that scare her don’t stop her. This is also the best book so far. I loooove how the plot thickens. There’s so much action and drama to keep you gripped until the end.
OAN: thanks for the new character intro at the end cause i almost had a heart attack. Everything in me screamed that there’s no way he died. I know he’s coming back. I was just hoping it wouldn’t be for her. I almost cried when she said her little prayer for a dragon of her own to love her. But what a nice little stab that would’ve been. >> yes it’s vague but you get no spoilers from me. ...more

It’s easy to follow and the story makes me want to go back and see the build up. Lars is really close to being my favorite character of the year. I loved the development of the relationship between him and his Druid. They were the definition of enemies to lovers with only the sexual charge pushing them along at first. It wasn’t instalove. It took time, no patience, and tragedy to help them get there. ...more

By the end I just wanted it to be over. The build up was ok until you get to a horribly rushed and lackluster ending. There’s so much time spent on the back and forth between broken spirits that it just drowned out the whole dying nation aspect. It was heavily implied but what exactly is the trouble with these people he continues to claim he is failing. Other than some dying crops and flowers ugh dull. Why mention the belief of something dangerous lurking underneath if that is just the ramblings of a crazed man. Had me thinking something big was actually going to happen. This story has a strong start that grips you in and makes you want to see it through. All the right cues are there, the conspiracies, the treachery and the mutinies. But where was my ending with a bang. How could things go that way for 85% of the book and then by way of 2 paragraphs be fixed and everything is suddenly perfect in the world again?...more

So much is packed in without the story feeling rushed and cluttered. The quality is top tier for sure. I don’t feel like I’m missing any part of anyone’s story, well except that I skipped book 1 of the series and apparently Riley’s story is in previous series. Guess i will have to backtrack. I will say that these poor guardians have got a hard, fast and dangerous life. Hell even their mates don’t have it easy. ...more

I’m all for a tormented hero who believes he is anything but a hero. Eva was very well written, a little slow at times but definitely realistic in her actions. Which is hard to come by sometimes in these insta love type of books. And yes I completely disagree with the enemies to lovers thing because no way. They are both just assholes who learn to love the quirky assholeness. It doesn’t magically go away, such a nice change. The drama is there, a little darkness with a pinch of danger, the sexual tension is steeaaming. Count me in. ...more
