Apparently 5 years is enough to make this book almost new again. I can't believe how much I didn't remember and how much i did. I have spent the last Apparently 5 years is enough to make this book almost new again. I can't believe how much I didn't remember and how much i did. I have spent the last two books waiting for Søren and King's past. Why is it taking so long? ( I can't remember what book starts it) I swear whichever book it is, it is my favorite. I love Søren more than i loved Laurell K. Hamilton's Darkness and that is saying A LOT!!!!
Alrighty, so about this particular book, of course i loved it. There were so many moving parts. I just wish i would have written a review the first time i read it so that the surprises would have actually be ginuine surprise!
Søren and Kingsley are never anything other than who they are. They are the most consistent characters i have ever had the pleasure of reading about. No discrepancies and no contradictions!
Nora is thoroughly lost in life and lying about what is most important. How do you leave a love behind before truly trying? Just saying you know you couldn't do it is not enough. If she is not drowning in Søren or otherwise occupied, she's lost in the middle of a dark lake looking for something she deliberately threw in the water.
The reporter chick was hilarious to me towards the end. However, i was definitely with Nora! I was sick of her messing with Søren!
No spoilers so i will stop there. I will let your mind wonder about our sweet Angel (Michael), why Søren and Griffin can't seem to get on the same page, and what is happening to our beautiful brown eyed Wesley!...more
I took my time with this one, not my choice though. This is the best in the series thus far. It's as if all of the melodrama leads to this very point.I took my time with this one, not my choice though. This is the best in the series thus far. It's as if all of the melodrama leads to this very point. I have said this before but OMG I LOVE SØREN!!!! Why, I can't really explain it, he just is the most amazing character i have ever been able to visualize.
The first time i read this book, I couldn't help but love Søren. His strength through the trials life put him through. And Kingsley just adds to it. Of all the books, this is the one I remember the most. Søren and King are meant to be together, add Nora to them and they are perfect. ...more
Oh how I love Søren, but honestly who has read this series and can say they don't!!! I spent most of the story waiting for him to return.

This is basically the story of self discovery. Nora ran away from Søren for "his" sake, so he wouldn't choose her over his life. She then spends a year playing house with a young man head over hills in love with her, before finding a man desperately in love with his wife. All have something they will have to sacrifice. Søren is willing to leave his life behind, Wes has his innocence waiting for Nora to commit, Zach has to let go of his wife, and Nora has to figure out who she wants to be. I didn't understand exactly what she expected out of Zach but they helped each other a great deal. In order to be with Wes, she will be chasing a white picket fence dream with a man who will never truly satisfy her, only love her. Søren doesn't like who she has become but has demanded nothing other than her true self, his possession. Have I said how much I love Søren!!!!
As usual the sex is beyond amazing, but when has Reisz ever disappointed. She has a way to create a reality so true that you could easily place yourself in Nora's shoes. This entire series is an emotional hurricane. My head actually hurts from the pain i feel for everyone involved. ...more
