Mindy Lou! You were so right! This book was sooo good!
When Luna offers herself up as a war prize to the Horde King in place of her brother, she is whisked away from the only life she has ever known and into a whole new world.

It’s quite an adjustment for her but despite years of self-doubt and guilt, she was so much stronger than she gave herself credit for. As the story progresses her strength only grows and I loved experiencing her struggles and joys as she learns to accept not only the way of life and the people of the horde, but Arokan as well.
I loved Arokan! Even though we never got his point of view, it wasn’t hard to know how he felt. He was protective of her but never overbearing or controlling. I expected a lot of push and pull between this hero and heroine but once Luna settles in that was not the case. They still had issues to work out and watching them come together as a couple was wonderful.

This is a fast paced read with some well-rounded secondary characters that did not overtake the plot. There is a bit of drama at the end that didn’t surprise me but that highlighted all the finer qualities Arokan and Luna possessed individually and as a couple. The steam is absolutely sizzling and so intense! While the ending didn’t give me a far enough look into the future, I suspect we will see more of these characters in future books and I have every intention of reading them.
(Hey, don't judge me for using Khal Drogo and Daenarys...you would too!)

Yay! Glad it worked for you!!!
Yay! Glad you enjoyed both Virgin River and this one! I've been wanting to read the next but just haven't done it yet.
If you enjoy historical type reads, check out the Vawdrey Brothers series by Alice Coldbreath. Great jealous protective heroes if that's your thing and other than the third book there is no ow/om drama really and even the 3rd book isn't bad with ow drama.
Right?! And once that's in your head there's no getting it out. Lol! Hope you loved as much as we all did, Karime.
