Meg I’ve had this book on my list since it was published. I’ve seen it talked about before as far as how good it was but no one could tell me WHAT made it was so good. Your review definitely helped! I think I may read this one next month!

Angeli I didn't realize there was a Netflix version. This was such a lovely book, I might skip the Netflix one so as not to ruin it.

I lived in Malaysia for a few years and my stepmother is Malaysian Chinese. A lot of the stories/myths here bring my childhood experience back to the present.
