There’s definitely a learning curve with Braze, and you’ll need to go through a ton of resources and documentation but honestly, that feels like part of the deal. "Great Mobile Features, But Data Limitations Hold It Back"
What do you like best about Braze?

Mobile first so push, in-app and whatsapp are all there as standard and easy to use. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Braze?

The data model and functions are still very limited. There are restrictive limits on the amount of data in catalogues, nested filters, tags used for tracking analytics etc. You also can't restrict volume in journey paths, see the number of people per job run, get comms job alerts, toggle between audience views in message previews, save in-app templates, see a calendar view and query the profile table in currents. In summary - if you don't have strong data support this is not the tool for you as the data must be in a very specific format on ingested. What do you like best about Braze?

My favorite thing about Braze is its empowerment of all team members to run a campaign from start to end. It is easy and intuitive to build audiences, pull code blocks and templates, and even preview test devices in the platform to ensure no breaks are occurring. What do you dislike about Braze?

Coming from SFMC, I wouldn't say I like Braze's lack of an auto-save feature. A few times, I have forgotten to save a work in progress, only to find that the tab or browser has accidentally been exited and all work has been lost.

What do you like best about Braze?

As a relatively new user of Braze, I can say it was fairly simple to learn and to get started with, thanks in great part to their excellent and comprehensive learning center. They also offer decent customer support — my experience has been very positive as inquiries were responded to (and resolved) in a timely manner. I use Braze daily as part of my role and generally find it quite intuitive and convenient, allowing for ample customization options to make the product fit one's unique business needs and use cases. What do you dislike about Braze?

I appreciate the involvement and care of the team members at Braze we have in place today. They are top notch and always with me as we navigate this ever evolving space. Special shout out to Bobby L. What do you dislike about Braze?

I feel like I had to fight for the team I get to work with at Braze today. Some special team offers don't have clear objectives and measures. Canvas methods of measurement has been impossible to understand for anyone outside of the CRM team and even for us it creates a challenge to do effective testing. Implementation updates don't have a map and it makes it hard on our team and Braze team to come together...though the Modernization team today (shout out to Steven and Jonathan) have started to change my mind on this potential. What do you like best about Braze?

- Braze has built a platform that integrates all channels for a full CRM experience - SMS, email, app push, etc.

- The components (content blocks, templates, canvas) are flexible enough that we can solve for any idea.

- With a simple UI, this tool is easy to pick up. Dig in and you'll master it in no time.

- Support response times are incredibly quick.

What do you dislike about Braze?

- Finding answers for unique use cases, especially around things like anonymous users, can take extra time. There's not a lot of documentation around these kinds of campaigns.

What do you like best about Braze?

I find Braze incredibly user-friendly, with its simple and intuitive UI, especially compared to other tools I've used like Salesforce. The guided tour is a great help for onboarding. Braze serves as a one-stop solution for multi-channel communications including email, push notifications, SMS, and more, which simplifies managing campaigns for engagement and retention. The AI-driven messaging is very effective for segmentation and driving conversions. The canvas builder and campaign builder are among the most useful features, along with its ability to integrate with analytics platforms like Snowflake and Google Analytics. What do you dislike about Braze?

I think the reporting is not that good. I would love to have more options, such as more pivot tables, more automations in terms of scheduling reports, and trends and graphs for my campaigns, which I can schedule and send to stakeholders. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Braze?

I really love how robust Braze is. We're able to bring in Segment data from our mobile app and build out a more robust in-app marketing experience. Our team also appreciates inboxvision to see how our emails will be received in different inbox providers. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Braze?

I really dislike the onboarding and customer support experience. I'm not quite sure how the Bronze package is supposed to go but we've had an onboarding consultant who doesn't know much about the platform in terms of our specific niche use cases and support tickets that take 2-3 days to be responded to when our I.P. warming is failing.

The integration documentation and revenue attribution documentation is outdated and our onboarding partner tells us that Braze is getting rid of it's products section but cannot tell us how to bring revenue attribution into our platform. When asked if Braze will even have revenue attribution, I was told they weren't sure. Which is the main reason we chose Braze over a competitor.

Implementing Braze has actually been such a bad experience and left us to have to dig to find things ourselves because we have an onboarding consultant that doesn't know a lot about the platform.

Integrating Shopify events isn't straigth forward or user friendly at all even though it appears to be. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Braze?

I like how it has simplified a process that was previously extremely tedious for our team. We would spend a whole day on our scholarship outreach workflow, and it can now be done in a matter of minutes. It is easy to use and especially great for a process that needs to be repeated month after month. What do you like best about Braze?

We’ve been really happy with Braze! We’ve been using it for the last 2 years, and I use it most days. Implementation was pretty straightforward—we partnered with ClearGoals to get started. Braze’s UI is clean and intuitive, and after switching to it, I saved so much time setting up automations and one-time messages. We were able to seriously level up our communication program.

The segment builder is excellent, and I love that we can sync data from multiple systems via BigQuery. It’s easy for our dev team to set up custom events and APIs for real-time messaging, and the template builder gives us great flexibility with Liquid and HTML blocks for personalization. Support is always responsive and helpful, and overall, it’s great value for the money—we just renewed our contract! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
