"Revolutionising My Research and Outreach Process Through Cognism"
What do you like best about Cognism?

It can connect you with you need to speak with. Not only will it (90% of the time) give you the right phone number and email address to reach your contact but it also helps you find the most appropriate lead for your outreach. It's quick and easy to download and integrates perfectly into your browser (I use Chrome). I love how the plugin pops up on LinkedIn and, not only that, but almost every company page you visit! I use it all the time. It has made my day to day immeasurably better and is so quick and easy to use. I can safely say, the implementation of Cognism at my company has changed everything for the better. What do you dislike about Cognism?

Occasionally Cognism can provide incorrect phone number or email addresses; maybe the person who answers is called John Smith, however isn't the same John Smith I was after. Other than that, I struggle to find much wrong with the service. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Cognism?

This platform is very easy to use and highly intuitive. I can conduct detailed research within minutes, and it conveniently generates data lists in CSV format. I also appreciate its integration with the CRM, specifically Salesforce, which allows me to exclude existing customers from the data. The customer support team is very accessible and was able to help me resolve login issues within just a few hours. I use it twice a week. I was easily onboarded with 1 hour training. What do you dislike about Cognism?

I believe there needs to be greater clarity and more tools regarding data usage. Although they state that they are GDPR compliant, they do not offer any clear, GDPR-friendly methods for reaching customers. It would be helpful if they provided a third-party data agreement for specific contacts. What do you dislike about Cognism?

The data isn't always 100% accurate (although I understand it's difficult to achieve this). Also the number of intent data is quite limited, it'd be good to have more intent data in there but I appreciate it's likely due to the niche B2B sector I operate in. What do you like best about Cognism?

Cognism helped us expand into EMEA. We needed a data provider for Accounts and Contacts. Cognism, by far, had the best quality and breadth of data from everyone we looked at. What do you dislike about Cognism?

Sometimes I wish the integration had a bit more flexibility. For example, more custom fields where we could push into our CRM, or simple logic such as "stamp this field with today's date" to show the most recent exported date. What do you like best about Cognism?

I love the Cognism chrome extension. My process for prospecting is that I have a group of named accounts and I need to target very senior finance professionals. I'll do research in LinkedIn Sales Navigator and Cognism shows me their email and mobile phone. Their quality of contact details is insane compared to other tools. Also they almost always have the email, and most of the time they also have the mobile phone number. In case they don't have the mobile, I can hit the 'diamond verify' button, and they will look for the phone number and send me an email once they have it. It makes my life so much easier and I'm able to connect with the right prospects immediately. Given that they are all executives whom are normally very difficult to reach, this makes it even more unique. What do you dislike about Cognism?

Their UI of their online dashboard is quite complicated and it takes some time to get used to it. Once you are it works great, but for new users they need to keep in mind it will take some time to get familiar with the tool. What do you like best about Cognism?

What I like best about Cognism is the quality and compliance of their data. It’s one of the few platforms that not only provides accurate, up-to-date contact information—including direct dials—but also ensures GDPR and CCPA compliance. That gives our teams confidence when prospecting in both Europe and the US. The platform is intuitive, and their intent data and enrichment tools also help us prioritize the right leads at the right time, which directly improves our outreach efficiency and conversion rates. While Cognism offers strong data quality and compliance, one area that could be improved is the depth of data in certain regions or industries. Occasionally, we notice gaps—especially with niche markets or very recent contacts. Also, depending on the integration you're using (like with CRMs or outreach tools), there can sometimes be minor syncing issues or a learning curve. What do you like best about Cognism?

I find Cognism extremely valuable for gathering prospect contact data where I might not normally be able to contact people. Its search functionality is outstanding, as it uncovers prospects who might remain hidden even when using tools like LinkedIn Sales Navigator. This feature allows me to reach and contact people through their mobile phones, which is crucial given the challenges of contacting individuals via online numbers or through switchboards. I also appreciate the large amount of data that Cognism holds, which tilts the scale heavily in its favor for future purchasing considerations. Additionally, the time to get accustomed to the platform was pretty reasonable; it only took me about half an hour, thanks to guidance from a business developer. What do you like best about Cognism?

I find Cognism incredibly beneficial as a prospecting tool. The ability to access a vast amount of data is a significant advantage, and the tool makes it easy to filter and identify our ideal customer profile, which I truly appreciate. What stands out to me is its ease of use and the strong deliverability rate of verified emails, making my tasks more efficient. Also, having verified numbers, often referred to as diamond data, is useful. The support from Cognism, along with the account managers, has been excellent. They've been helpful and readily available to assist in setting up processes and ensuring correct data usage. I especially like the extension tool, which is very handy when used on LinkedIn. The availability of mobile numbers is another crucial benefit as it directly addresses one of our main challenges in prospecting, and the overall functionalities offered by Cognism are quite handy. What do you dislike about Cognism?

I find it challenging that when saving lists in Cognism, there aren't enough filter options to effectively sort and filter out prospects. The existing system feels restrictive as it doesn't offer much flexibility, especially for filtering by geographical location or having access to a diverse range of filters. While it's possible to export data into Excel to add those filters externally, it would greatly enhance my workflow and efficiency if these capabilities were integrated within the platform itself. Doesn't allow you to show more than 25 contacts at a time on any page, which doesn't make any sense to me; just slows down how quickly I can find the people I'm after.
