"Secure, Streamlined, Scalable: Why Kandji is a Top MDM for macOS and iOS"
What do you like best about Iru?

Kandji’s standout feature is its Auto-Remediation system. It continuously monitors devices for compliance and automatically fixes issues when something drifts out of spec. This reduces the manual work typically required in other MDMs and helps maintain security and compliance with minimal oversight. With Kandji + Apple Business Manager, you can set up and ship devices directly to employees—no IT hand-holding required. It’s especially great for remote and hybrid teams.

The admin dashboard is clean, easy to navigate, and makes device management less of a headache. You don’t need to be a command-line wizard to manage policies, apps, or updates. Kandji offers a huge library of pre-configured controls and policies (like FileVault, Gatekeeper, etc.) that can be applied with just a few clicks. It saves a lot of time during setup. Because Kandji is 100% Apple-focused, every feature is optimized for macOS, iOS, iPadOS, and tvOS. No compromises or clunky cross-platform workarounds like you might find in other MDMs. You can easily set up custom security baselines or use Kandji's built-in compliance templates (like CIS Benchmarks). It’s great for regulated industries or security-conscious teams. Kandji’s support team is knowledgeable and fast to respond—and they understand Apple environments, which isn’t always the case with generalist MDM providers. What do you dislike about Iru?

Kandji is positioned as a premium solution, and its pricing reflects that. While the features are robust, smaller teams or startups might find the cost a barrier especially when compared to other MDM tools with lower entry points. Kandji is fantastic for Apple environments, but it's not an option for organizations with mixed device fleets (Windows, Android, etc.). If you need cross-platform support, you'll have to manage multiple tools. Some users have noted the lack of a generous free trial or limited self-service onboarding as a downside. It would be helpful to have a hands-on experience before committing, especially for smaller teams evaluating multiple tools. Although Kandji is growing rapidly and expanding its features, power users who want deep-level scripting or advanced customization might find it less flexible than something like Jamf Pro, which has a more mature scripting and automation ecosystem. "Simple MDM for IT teams, but can be distracting for end users"
What do you like best about Iru?

Kandji makes managing Macs much easier compared to other MDMs like Jamf. It lowers the skill barrier for IT teams while still giving us the same outcomes. Features like Managed OS for enforcing updates, Auto Apps for third-party patching, and Passport for IdP logins have been very useful. It’s straightforward to set up, scales well for large fleets, and gives good visibility into what’s happening. Overall, it saves time and reduces the amount of manual effort needed. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Iru?

The biggest downside is how intrusive the notifications can be. End users often get constant alerts about updates, even ones scheduled far in advance, and there’s not much flexibility to pause or mute them. This can be distracting during focus time and can hurt the employee experience. While the tool is great for IT, it could use improvements to make the user side less disruptive. "4 Month using Kandji"
What do you like best about Iru?

Kandji is easy to get started with. Lots of prebuilt policies to manage Apple Devices. We predominantly use it to manage our MacBook fleet with users all over the world. Enrolment is easy either automated or manually via the portal. The protection features work well with options for remote reboot shutdown and wipe. The policies are comprehensive and it is much more user friendly for admins than other products on the market for MDM Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Iru?

I have struggled to deploy apps via Kandji. It would be nice to get to an out of the box build experience. it would also be good if the location feature worked on MacBook as well as IPhone Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Easy to configure, simple deployment, and amazing support!"
What do you like best about Iru?

Kandji has been an excellent solution for managing our Apple devices. The UI is incredibly easy to navigate. Kandji made each MacOs/iOS setting and policy easy to understand, even for someone with a strong Windows background and completely new to Apple administration. When I have questions, the support team is outstanding in explaining and resolving issues, and always provide good resources so that I can become a better Apple admin. They also helped me understand what MDM can do vs what Apple restricts by default. Our POC was great and we transitioned seamlessly into a full production environment, allowing us to implement and deploy to our company quickly. We quickly setup SSO and added additional admins, and the library of documentation that Kandji has is a valuable resource in training our team on how to manage devices in Kandji. I am in the portal almost every day as I am in the optimization phase, and I am exploring ways to automate even more tasks with Kandji. We will continue to use Kandji when adding additional devices to our environment. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Iru?

The Blueprint settings were a bit confusing at first, however Blueprints "going away" and are being replaced with Assignment maps which I haven't dived into a ton at this time. I also wish there was a way to have 2 separate auto enrollment policies - One for Mac and one for iOS. Its nice that we could connect ABM to Kandji and have easy laptop setup as soon as we purchase Macs, however, we have to manually set each iPad to the correct Blueprint since you can only have 1 Blueprint as default ( in our case, the dedicated Mac Blueprint). I also wish there was a search function when selecting specific devices to be added to a Library item - right now, we have to manually type out the name or serial number of a machine, and it wont tell you if you enter a name/serial that doesn't match something in your instance.

These are small details - the overall Kandji service is great and I would highly recommend. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Effortless Device Management with Powerful Results"
What do you like best about Iru?

What I like best about Kandji is how simple and intuitive the platform is to use, without sacrificing power or responsiveness. The user interface is clean and easy to navigate, making even complex tasks—like deploying security controls or managing device configurations—feel effortless. Despite its simplicity, it’s incredibly effective, with automation features and real-time monitoring that ensure devices are always compliant and up to date. Kandji strikes the perfect balance between user-friendly design and enterprise-grade performance. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Iru?

One area where Kandji could improve is in its integration with Microsoft Entra ID for device compliance. Currently, the compliance check primarily validates whether a device is enrolled and when it last checked in. While this is useful, it would be much more valuable if additional parameters—especially those aligned with CIS benchmarks—could be assessed as part of the compliance status. This would provide a more comprehensive and security-focused integration, ensuring devices meet a broader set of standards before being granted access. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Kandji Works"
What do you like best about Iru?

Coming from Apple Business Essentials, the most helpful thing about Kandji is simply that it works. Basic device management tasks—like setting up iOS devices, erasing them, and pushing apps—just work right out of the box. It’s reliable, intuitive, and delivers on its promises. My team loves using the software and wishes more mobile device management products offered this level of experience. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Iru?

The main drawback is the price. Kandji is significantly more expensive than some alternatives, which may be a barrier for teams with tighter budgets. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Kandji has made endpoint management relatively smooth for the past 3 years!"
What do you like best about Iru?

Very streamlined, easy navigate UI.

Use Kandji daily to check on software deployments and status of devices in our fleet for troubleshooting

Assignment Maps for granular deployment of library items

API tools outside of Kandji allow for custom configurations

Easy integrations with provisioning from IdPs

Slack integrations for alerts

Customer support is always very responsive and helpful

Seamless to migrate from other MDMs into Kandji Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Iru?

At this rate, there is not much that I dislike about Kandji. It is very easy to rollout new software deployments, test software, rollout macOS Updates, keep software patched. The list goes on!

If I had to say one thing, it'd be a bit more granular reporting / filters. The reporting is pretty good when you are looking for a specific item, but it can provide a lot of unnecessary information if you're looking for devices that do not have that specific item. There are ways around it, but it'd be nice to have it all within the Kandji UI. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Kandji simplifies Apple device management with precision and power"
What do you like best about Iru?

Kandji’s seamless integration with Apple devices is outstanding. The user interface is clean and intuitive, which makes policy deployment and compliance monitoring incredibly efficient. Its pre-built automation and remediation scripts save a great deal of time for IT teams, and the support team is highly responsive. The platform also integrates well with identity providers like Okta, which enhances security workflows. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Iru?

Although Kandji offers robust Apple device management, finding detailed USB activity logs can be difficult. For security-focused environments, easier access to such logs would improve incident response and monitoring. Adding a more intuitive way to track USB usage would be a valuable enhancement. "Modern MDM Done Right: Kandji’s Winning Formula"
What do you like best about Iru?

What I like best about Kandji is how it balances simplicity and power. The platform is incredibly easy to set up and manage, even at scale, but still offers deep functionality like seamless ABM integration, strong automation, and a solid library of integrations. On top of that, the included support is top-notch—responsive, knowledgeable, and not an upsell like with many other MDM vendors. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Iru?

There’s very little to dislike about Kandji. If anything, I’d love to see a bit more flexibility in certain workflows and more depth in reporting over time. That said, the platform is actively evolving, and Kandji’s track record gives me confidence that those refinements will come. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"A Perfect MDM for your Apple Devices"
What do you like best about Iru?

I like Kandji as an MDM solution because it's modern, user-friendly, and highly automated features. It offers a clean interface, strong security features, and powerful device management tools that are easy to set up and maintain. Kandji’s automation with Blueprints and its large library of pre-built device controls save a lot of time and reduce manual work. It’s also very responsive to new Apple updates, making it a great choice for organizations that want seamless, up-to-date management of their Apple devices. Kandji's online support is one of the best support that is currently out there. Their support is accurate and helps resolve your issue almost instantly and if they are unable to, their higher level engineers will assist you. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Iru?

At the moment, I don't have any particular dislikes about Kandji. The platform has been reliable, intuitive, and effective for my needs. It provides a smooth user experience, from initial setup to daily management, without unnecessary complexity. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
