Have you faced the situation, when you moved to cloud, set up a compute instance with minimal resources to save money, tried to create your image from your docker-compose file and it took 3 hrs 47 min (13675 sec)? There are several better solutions, one of them is to use GitHub Actions with dockerhub. GitHub creates the same image in 8 mins and 14 sec... ☝ Let's be honest with each other today... ... do you actually run all of your services on Kubernetes? 🤔 Well, if you don't, you are not alone. 👯 Sometimes, it's because you haven't gotten around to it yet (maybe you have a lot of them!), and sometimes, it's simply the wrong choice to run that service on Kubernetes. The reality is that many of us have services inside and outside Kubernetes and together they make up systems. So managing incoming traffic to both services in Kubernetes and outside of Kubernetes is now easier with Envoy Gateway 1.1 because you can use the Backend API to define the services external to Kubernetes by FQDN or IP. P.S.
