What does it look like to build a #career defined by growth, community, and meaningful impact? For Michelle Chang, that has shaped her journey at BCG. Michelle has truly “grown up at BCG,” progressing from EA to Sr. EA to Administrative Services Senior Specialist, and now Administrative Services Manager. She thrives in the Administrative Services function, where each day brings new challenges, wins, and learning moments alongside teams she deeply admires. One project that stands out for Michelle was serving on the planning committee for the 2021 North American Asian Diversity Network Virtual Retreat, a pivotal moment during the pandemic when connection felt more essential than ever. Michelle led the planning of the Senior Leadership Fireside Chats. “It was really incredible to see our leaders come together with such honesty and wisdom. Creating that space for open dialogue and cross-cohort connection was meaningful for the network and for me personally,” she says. But for Michelle, the most rewarding part of her role is supporting the executive assistant/administrative assistant community she leads. “Our EAs and AAs are relentlessly hardworking and navigate so much complexity,” she says. Championing their growth, celebrating their successes, and seeing the #impact they create across BCG is what inspires her most. Michelle is the first to say her journey hasn’t happened alone. She credits Daniel Friedman, Thomas Wurster, Jeff Hill, Himesh Pathmanathan, and Beth Foster for being her biggest supporters, leaders who invested in her and provided a safe space to learn and grow. If there is one lesson Michelle carries with her, it is this: find your network, lean on their #mentorship, and don’t be afraid to ask for help. At BCG, that community has been the foundation of her growth and the catalyst for the impact she continues to create.

Meet Sophie Kerckhoffs, a Principal in BCG’s Amsterdam office, who is helping build the resilient and #sustainable energy systems of tomorrow. Sophie works with utilities to rethink how electricity networks power the future. Within BCG’s Energy Practice, she focuses on grid optimization, #digital transformation, and decarbonization strategies, supporting clients across Europe and the US as they navigate challenges like network congestion, CAPEX deployment, and renewable integration. Her work blends technical depth with human connection. From deploying fault detection technology for a major energy company to developing a CO₂ roadmap for Vattenfall Netherlands, Sophie is driven by one goal: creating tangible impact through collaboration and trust. Outside of work, Sophie embraces gezelligheid, a Dutch word that loosely means “good vibes.” You can find her skiing, exploring new restaurants in Amsterdam and New York, and debating the merits of Dutch cuisine. When reflecting on her BCG journey, Sophie shares: “Early in my career, I thought I had to fit a ‘#consultant mold.’ But I’ve learned that being real, not perfect, is what helps you connect, lead, and grow.” Her advice to others navigating their careers is to trust yourself and what you bring to the table.

From Barcelona to Seattle, Paula Vich Serra’s BCG journey spans continents, disciplines, and milestones. Over the years, she has built a career defined by exploration and purpose, from #consulting in four offices across two countries to completing an MBA at Harvard with BCG’s sponsorship. Her path included three parental leaves and a rotation at BCGX, where she worked as both a data scientist and venture architect. Recently, Paula helped launch BCG’s Agentic Marketing offering, diving into how AI is reshaping one of business’s most creative fields. It is a continuation of her fascination with #technology that serves people. One of her proudest projects has been building a GenAI-powered app for U.S. retail store associates, designed to make their work easier and more efficient. “Visiting the stores and seeing associates’ excitement firsthand, watching their faces light up as they described how much easier their jobs had become, was deeply fulfilling,” Paula says. Through it all, Paula has learned that growth is rarely linear. Taking time for personal milestones or new experiences has made her a more empathetic leader. “BCG has shown me the value of flexibility, and how support and opportunity can coexist in a high-performance environment,” she shares. Today, she credits her mentors Mark Abraham, Aaron Arnoldsen, and Joan Sol, along with her husband, her biggest supporter, for believing in her even when she doubted herself.

From the locker room to the boardroom, Missy Jenkins has always found strength in teamwork, strategy, and passion. Missy began her career in the sports industry, inspired by a lifelong love of athletics and her time as a student and sports fan at the University of Virginia. After several years, she made the leap to #consulting at Boston Consulting Group, eager to expand her skill set and take on new challenges. “I realized I still had a lot to learn,” Missy shares. “Watching my business school classmates thrive in consulting, it felt like the right move at the right time, and I couldn’t be happier I made the pivot.” That decision changed everything. At BCG, Missy gained lessons no classroom could teach. “One of the most important skills I’ve worked hard to develop over my career is the ability to consider everyone’s intentions, interests, and skills,” she says. Over time, culture-building became her north star. Whether in consulting or back in sports, Missy has learned that great teams are built by understanding what drives people — their motivations, their energy, and their why. When people feel heard, they bring their best selves. Now, as Senior Vice President (Commercial) with the Kansas City Current, Missy blends the best of both worlds: the strategic rigor she developed at BCG and her lifelong passion for sports. Her advice for anyone considering a #career pivot? Learn to tell your story. Connect the dots between your experiences, because every chapter, even the unexpected ones, can become part of your playbook for growth.

Curiosity has been the driving force behind Smriti Dixit's journey at Boston Consulting Group (BCG). As a Global IT Platform Engineer Expert Senior Manager in GenAI and LLM, Smriti thrives at the intersection of #technology and impact. “From day one, I’ve been surrounded by incredibly smart and supportive people who push me to think bigger and better,” she says. Each project has been a new challenge, a new way to learn how data and #AI can transform decisions and drive real business outcomes. One project that stands out involved building and automating a performance evaluation and monitoring pipeline for a GenAI-based Agent. Smriti created a system that captured and analyzed log traces to improve reliability, transparency, and decision-making. Seeing those insights shape client impact was, in her words, deeply rewarding. But for Smriti, growth is never a solo act. “I’ve been fortunate to have mentors and teammates who genuinely care about my progress,” she says. She credits Vijay Malhan for his steady mentorship and belief in her, which helped her take on complex challenges with confidence. For her, curiosity opens doors, but it is collaboration that turns those discoveries into lasting impact.

Turning curiosity into opportunity, Hanan E. has built a career grounded in creativity, community, and growth. Now an Events Senior Specialist in our Atlanta Nexus office, Hanan began her BCG journey as an Administrative Assistant, unsure where the path would lead. By volunteering for events, she discovered her #passion and carved out a new trajectory for herself. “Every step along the way, I’ve been supported by incredible people who believed in me,” Hanan shares. “BCG gave me not just a career, but a lasting #community that I hold close.” A standout moment in her journey was leading one of BCG’s largest Atlanta gatherings to date, bringing together more than 900 colleagues for a memorable and inclusive experience that strengthened connection across teams and families. From intern to full-time consultant, Allison Lee’s journey at BCG has been defined by growth, learning, and the people around her. “From day one, I’ve been surrounded by leaders and teammates who’ve invested in my growth and encouraged me to explore new interests. The work has been incredibly rewarding; every project has taught me something new about business, technology, and the world around me,” Allie shares. But what truly makes her BCG journey special is the people. “The Seattle office has such a warm, tight-knit #culture that makes coming into work something I genuinely look forward to,” Allie says. A standout moment for Allie was contributing to a fast-paced consumer case, collaborating with C-suite leaders to set multi-year savings targets. Allie attributes much of her journey to the people who’ve supported her along the way. “My cohort - especially Daisy Qiu and Lucy Svetec - have been my biggest supporters and closest friends,” Allie says. What does it mean to grow through challenge and find strength in community? For Emily Diaz, that question defines her journey at BCG. Since joining the San Diego office two years ago, Emily’s experience has been both a rollercoaster and a period of growth. Just as she began her BCG #career, her sister was diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL), and Emily stepped forward as her bone marrow donor. Balancing the demands of #consulting with the emotional weight of her sister’s illness tested her resilience, but it also revealed the depth of support within BCG. “Even in that difficult time, I was fortunate to find an incredible network of support among my first friends and mentors at the firm. Working here has taught me that success requires both IQ and EQ. It’s about sharp analysis and genuine relationships,” Emily says. A standout moment for Emily was leading a go-to-market calendar diagnostic for a major American department store chain. Trusted to take on a “mini-Project Leader” role early in her career, she led an Associate and owned her own workstream end-to-end. “It was daunting at first, but it became one of the most formative experiences of my time at BCG. I learned to trust my instincts, voice my perspective with confidence, and lead with empathy and structure.” Emily says. Today, Emily continues to draw strength from the people around her. Her fiancé, Collin, has been her steadfast supporter, while colleagues and friends like Andrew Webb and Francesca Barbiere have made every milestone, professional and personal, more meaningful. From transferring offices to running the 2024 NYC Marathon, Emily’s journey has been one of courage, #connection, and compassion. Through every twist and turn, she’s discovered what it means to lead not just with excellence but with heart.

What does it look like to transform data into purpose-driven impact while continuously growing and evolving your career? For Jasmine Kaur, that question captures her BCG journey - one defined by curiosity, collaboration, and courage. As a Global People Analytics Senior Analyst in the Global Services New Delhi office, Jasmine has explored diverse paths across IT products, HR analytics, and purpose-led projects fueled by data and #innovation. Each experience has challenged her to think differently, step outside her comfort zone, and build confidence in her ability to drive change that matters. One standout moment in her journey came when she led a project turning complex data into strategic insights that shaped key business decisions. “Translating data into meaningful narratives that inspire leadership action reinforced my belief in the power of analytics to drive real transformation,” she shares. What made the experience truly special was the collaboration - working with a cross-functional team that combined creativity, precision, and #empathy to deliver lasting impact. Jasmine attributes her growth to the mentors, peers, and leaders who have championed her from the start of her journey in 2022. “The leaders who recognized my potential even before I did have been especially inspiring. Their trust and encouragement have helped me grow with confidence and purpose,” she says. For Jasmine, growth at BCG is about more than advancing her #career; it’s about learning continuously, building together, and using analytics to create meaningful impact.
