Dear Human Resources Director,

As a recent graduate of Tarleton State University’s TMATE Masters, program I have a strong
interest in pursuing a career as an educator. I am confident that the knowledge I have gained
while pursuing my degree and certification at Tarleton has well prepared me for the classroom. It
is with great pleasure that I present my resume to you for the open position listed on your
district’s website. I am confident my background and education will make me a valuable
member of your teaching team.

As a first -year educator I bring passion and a personal commitment to helping students succeed.
My teaching style is student-centered and flexible. I am well prepared to differentiate instruction
and to incorporate technology into daily activities. My experience as a private nanny taught me
how to connect with students on a personal level as well as how to modify instruction to meet
individual needs. As a small business owner, I worked with a diverse population of individuals
and developed a strong set of organizational skills.

It is my personal goal to engage every student and to instill a life-long love of learning in each
child. As a dedicated, innovative educator I welcome the opportunity to meet with you to discuss
how my varied background and skills will benefit your district. Thank you for your time and
