                                         Abstract
       Until now, stain is the number one and common problem of our clothes that made it
useless anymore for special gatherings. By parity, harmful chemicals that destroyed our eco-
system are also everybody’s concern. It is for this reason that the researcher endeavor to
conduct a study using organic substance.       This study aimed to determined effectiveness
between Pineapple peel and Calamansi extract being used as an organic stain remover. A 5” x
6” cotton white cloth was used and smeared with 0.01 g stain in the center. The stain was
composed of ink, grease and soy sauce. The different stained fabric were set aside for 10
hours, after which were treated with 5 g of Pineapple peel extract and Calamansi extract for 10
to 20 minutes. This study was limited to the conduct of visual observation. The ranking test was
considered to determine the degree of preference of stain removed. The effect of the two
extract yielded almost similar result in terms of removing stains.    However, the researcher
concluded that the Pineapple peel extract is better than Calamansi extract as the former is also
a means of recycling waste product and cost-free.

                                         Introduction
Background of the Study
       Almost every household would keep stain remover like Zonrox, Chlorine otherwise called
Chlorox and many other harmful chemicals. It is for this reason why the researchers decided to
focus this investigatory research on creating an eco- friendly cleaning solution.
STATEMENT OF THE PROBLEM
       The purpose of this study is to find evidences on the effectiveness of Pineapple peel and
Calamansi extract being used as an eco-friendly cleaning agent. It attempts to compare and
analyze the effects of the two stain remover on stubborn stain on white cloth. More specifically
it seeks to find the answer to the following question:
1. How effective is the Pineapple peel and Calamansi extract as stain remover?
2. Is there a significant difference between the two eco-friendly stain remover?
Null Hypothesis
Ho1:
Ho2: There is no significant difference between Pineapple Peel Exract compared to Calamansi
Extract
Significance of the Study
          The findings of this study will redound to the benefit of the society considering that it
utilizes an eco- friendly materials which are not harmful not only to the environment but to
humans as well. It is also a means of recycling waste as it uses pineapple waste extract being
converted into a useful cleaning agent. On the other hand, Calamansi extract is also use for
comparison as it has been commonly known to be an organic stain remover. This study will
benefit the community by decreasing the cost and expenditures particularly on stain removal
solutions by providing a much cheaper alternative. The researchers believe that the result of
this study would give an idea for the consumers to have an option on what kind of cleaning
agent to be used on their stained clothes.

        Both organic stain removers were effective when it comes to removing different kinds of
stain. However, the Pineapple Peel extract yielded more positive result as to the duration of
time with regard to the process of removing stain. The method of determining their efficacy is
through visual observation coupled with time frame. The data gathered were reduced into a
statistical table which shows the result of each three (3) samples. Afterwards, the results of the
two stain removers were analyze and compare using mathematical computation.

CONCLUSION
       With the outcome of the study, the researchers found out that both Pineapple peel and
Calamansi extract were effective which yielded almost similar result in removing stain. Based
on the data gathered, the Pineapple Peel extract gives more positive result compared to the
Calamansi extract. Therefore, researchers concluded that the Pineapple peel extract is proven
to be the better effective organic stain remover, it being a recycle waste product and cost-free.
RECOMMENDATION
       1.   The formulation and procedure of this study should be disseminated to the general
            public in order to provide them knowledge in terms of;
               a.) Waste Recycling Management.
               b.) Preserving the Environment
               c.) Avoiding effects of harmful chemicals
               d.) Good source for livelihood project
       2. More trials to be conducted to other variety of stains and cloth not included in this
            study to further validate compatibility.
       3. We also would like to recommend that ang sunod mu study ani kay mag experiment
            kung still effective pa ba ang pineapple and calamansi if mu lapas ug 1 day or inig dli
            na siya fresh ug kung pwede ba gamiton ang preserved nga extract.
