VIOLENCE ON TELEVISION.
When violence appears on television people think it is bad, but I think violence is
the real life children might confront soon. Television has had serious problems with its
audience for the shows that are aired on some networks. In the current years, the shows
have increased violence scenes. People say that while their kids are watching television,
they could learn aggressive behavior from the characters. There is an example of a popular
TV show called The Walking Dead. Months ago people got angry when they watched an
episode when the villain killed some characters in the most violent way. This situation
made the people criticize it and demand the next episodes and seasons should contain less
violence. After that, fans from that TV show got angry and said that it is all parents’ fault
because they are the main ones who let them watch those shows.
I think children learn aggressive behavior from other places (such like home,
school, streets, etc.). Parents don’t need to focus on television violence only. They also
need to worry for about the violence that is in front of them. For example, children may
think the behaviors that they are learning are good acceptable because they see it at in their
homes. Something what that parents can do about this topic is monitoring to monitor what
they are watching every day. What I think about this topic is that some networks have
specific classifications for each program which parents should respect in case their children
are watching. Internet is another problem that people must be worried about. The major
numbers of websites have enough content that children could see very easy. Violence will
be present everywhere anytime and children are going to deal with it. People think that by
protecting their children they will not face a violent moment, but they really need to know
that what they are watching on television is what it is happening in real life and anyone will
stop it.
