Hatching Alien
By: Kayte-Did’s Crafts
WELCOME!
I started Kayte-Did’s on Facebook 8 years ago just to have a way to post my creations and it
turned into SO much more. I feel so blessed to be able to share with you how I made my
Hatching Alien. Lots of notes taken, lots of counting stitches, lots of going thru colors and I think
the final result will be just what you’re looking for. Feel free to tag me in pictures @kaytedids on
Facebook and @kaytedid86 on Instagram

Belt:
Ch 54, cut and knot off. This will create your belt to go around your robe
Assembly:
  ● Attaching the arms: place and pin the arm right where the head and body meet. Sewing
it in the crease. Finish off.
  ● Attaching the legs: Mark your center from following the nose down to the center bottom
of the body. Placing the legs evenly on each side, sew straight across. To create your
leg in the permanent sitting position:
          ○ Insert your needle on the inside of the leg and pull thru
          ○ Then insert needle thru body 2 rows up from where the leg is connected. Pull
               thru.
          ○ Lastely place needle thru end of leg and pull out. This should create your leg to
be in the sitting position. Knot off thru leg and body.
  ● Repeat for second leg.
● Attaching the ears: If your ears are not pinched and sewn closed go ahead and do that
now. Your tail for attaching should end in the back tip of the ear. Following the center of
your safety eye and going over 3 sts, Pin the front of your ear in this placement. Sewing
from the back to the front.
● Repeat the same placement for second ear.
● You now have a little alien body! Let’s get him dressed.
● Placing the robe around the alien body, and his arms thru the little spaces you created.
Give it alittle stretch to create the fit you like, leaving the high collar or rolling it down.
● Wrapping the Belt around and tying off with a simple knot or bow. Place your alien in his
little egg/spaceship and hes off to defend the galaxy!
