Name of the Activity: Early Language, Literacy and Numeracy Program (ELLN)
Date: November 2021 to June 2022
Venue: BAYANIHAN ELEMENTARY SCHOOL, PHHC, TACLOBAN CITY
Participants : Kindergarten to Grade 3 Teachers
Description:
    The Department of Education (DepEd) Early Language, Literacy and
    Numeracy Program (ELLN) focuses on capacitating the Kindergarten to
    Grade 3 teachers and instructional leaders on the basic knowledge and
    pedagogical skills in literacy and numeracy and in establishing and
    managing a school-based mentoring/learning partnership program as a
    mechanism       for  the   continuous     professional     development    of
    teachers/mentors, teachers/mentees, school managers and instructional
    leaders and an avenue for teachers to listen to storytelling and read-aloud
    activities from the best storytellers through the School-Based Learning
    Action Cell, per DepEd Order No. 12, s. 2015.
Objectives:
       1. To improve reading and numeracy skills of the K to 3 learners
          following the K to 12 program;
       2. To strengthen teacher’s capability to teach and assess reading and
          numeracy skills effectively;
       3. To improve management and administration of the program;
       4. To establish a school-based mentoring/learning partnership program
          thru SLAC.
Highlights of the Activity:
          Registration of the K-3 teachers
          Short opening program
          Inspirational message by Dr. Marlon D. Cainong, the School Head
          Re-orientation of the ELLN Program
      Discussions of key concepts, principles, and teaching approaches
       and strategies
      Video and audio demonstrations and examples were presented
      Exercises were developed for mastery of the key concepts
      Handouts, templates, and worksheets were given as guides
      Activities and assignments for skills practice, and the application of
       the principles and strategies taught were accomplished

Name of the Activity: First Quarter Portfolio Day/Awarding of Model Pupils
Date: November 12, 2022
Venue: BAYANIHAN ELEMENTARY SCHOOL, PHHC, TACLOBAN CITY

Description:
    A Portfolio Day is held every end of the quarter to enables learners to reflect
    their real performance, to show their weak and strong domain and to
    observe pupil’s progress during the learning process and encourages
    learners to take responsibilities for their own learning.
    To restore values, model pupils of every section were selected through
    project “SHINE” hence values is the basic of all in order to come up with a
    good and even best performance among learners.
Objectives:
   Specifically:
    1. To showcase learner’s output and performances.
    2. To conduct parent-teacher adviser conference and individual feedback
        giving.
    3. To distribute the report cards.
    4. To award model pupils through project “SHINE”.
    5. To award first quarter achievers in every section.
