1.OBJECT AND SCOPE OF APPLICATION

The present standard defines the regulations specific to the flat non allied ingot-iron products, hot rolled-iron
products (LAC) for stamping, naked or covered before or after working and with thickness higher or equal to 1.50
mm delivered in the form of:
 sheets in sheets,
 broad band and broad band split in reels,
 bars.
It must be accompanied by the documents defining the general regulations of the flat products:
 B53 3020 Designation - Symbolization.
 B53 3050 General regulations of supplies.
 B53 3055 Metallurgical regulations - Tests.
 B53 3070 Technical specifications particular LAF-LAC.
 B53 3072 Dimensional regulations LAF-LAC.

2.3.1.INDIFFERENT MATTER QUALITY

(general case)
The matter is defined in the following form:
 Sheet.
 Reference of this norm.
 Nominal thickness delivered in mm (*).
Example:
 Sheet (norm B53 3108 or B53 3106) E = * mm.
The choice of the manufacturing process (LAC or LAF) and of the nuance is left with the services of the Methods;
that of the aspect on the initiative of the services Studies, Quality and Methods.
2.3.2.COMPLEMENTARY SPECIFICATIONS
If a particular characteristic is necessary (e.g.: elastic limit) one carries the desired nuance.
Example:
 Sheet 3C (norm B53 3108) E = * mm.
Note: The manufacturing process of the sheets LAC involves significant variations thickness as well as defects of
surface being able to harm the resistance to fatigue of the parts. It is necessary to hold of it account at the time of
the choice of the matter.

3.TERMINOLOGY AND DEFINITION

A dictionary (glossary) of the main terms and their definitions used within the activities of the Department "Amont
Technico-Industriel" can be consulted in-house via the glossary Nectar (http://nectar.inetpsa.com). This glossary is
constantly up-dated.

3.1.DEFINITIONS
For the needs for this norm, the following terms are defined:
Not applicable
3.2.INITIALS
For the needs for this standard, the following initials are defined:
Not applicable

4.CHEMICAL COMPOSITION
See § 5.2

5.CHARACTERISTICS OF THE PRODUCTS TO THE DELIVERY CONDITION

5.1.GENERAL INFORMATION
The products must be free from harmful defects to their use.
They must be suited to stamping, welding, joining, and their setting in painting.
These products are auto--annealings and pickled.
A particular roughness can be required.

5.3.MICROGRAPHIC CHARACTERISTICS
5.3.1.INCLUSION CLEANLINESS
Metal must be clean and without blisters. The observation field charged in nondeformable inclusions should not
exceed for each type of inclusion, the figure “2” of scale JERNKONTORET in accordance with norm NF A04-106.
5.3.2.STRUCTURE

The allowed sizes of grains, measured according to norm NF IN ISO 643 appear in table § 5.4.
A maximum variation of size of grain of 2 is tolerated between the surface and the core of sheet, within the limit
requested from the § 5.4.
