Monsoon The Monsoon Trough at mean sea level continues to run along the foothills of the
Condition Himalayas.
& The cyclonic circulation over Northeast Bay of Bengal & neighbourhood extending upto 4.5
Synoptic km above mean sea level tilting south-westwards with height persists.
Features
Realized Weather (during past 24 hrs.): Light to moderate rain was observed at isolated places over the
state. Monsoon was weak over the state. The highest rainfall recorded was 36.0 mm at Dhalbhumgarh (East
Singbhum). The highest maximum temperature 38.3°C was recorded at Godda (KVK) while the lowest
minimum temperature 24.6°C was recorded at Ranchi (Aero).
Maximum temperatures : (1) Last 24 hrs. Change: No large change (-2.0°C to +2.0°C) at most places over
Jharkhand. (2) Normal Departures: Appreciably above normal (3.1°C to 5.0°C) & Markedly above normal
(5.1°C or more) each at few places over Jharkhand.
Minimum temperatures: (1) Last 24 hrs. Change: No large change (-2.0°C to +2.0°C) at most places over
Jharkhand. (2) Normal Departures: Normal (-1.5°C to 1.5°C) at few places; Above normal (1.6°C to 3.0°C) &
Appreciably above normal (3.1°C to 5.0°C) each at isolated places over Jharkhand.
