IMPROV ACTING
An individual event.
2 participants per class
Each participant will be given a
situation by the judge.
They will have to incorporate that
situation into a storyline of their own
creation and act it out.
Any form of vulgarity will lead to
immediate disqualification.
The judge's decision is final.
BLOCK & TACKLE
The topics will be given on spot.
Participants should talk for the topics when asked
to “Block” and should talk against the topic when
asked to “Tackle”
Each participant will be given 60 seconds to finish
their attempt and will be given 30 secs
preparation time.
Note: No prior research/prep is required, this is not a
debate. The topics will be based on your
interests/hobbies.
Humour will fetch more points
A fifteen-minute orientation and demonstration will
be given at the start of the event, so please don’t be
late!
AVOID:
Interrupting another participant
Any vulgarity in jokes, references, and languages – it
will lead to your immediate disqualification
LAWYERS UP
Each speaker is permitted 2 minutes for an
opening statement, a minute for cross question
and 2 minutes for closing statements.
Participants can only use English . Use of any
other language except for proper nouns will be
demarked. Coherency and fluency will be taken
into account.
Each lawyer is given one of two roles: plaintiff
or defendant and is given 2.5 minutes of prep
time. The internet usage is prohibited and
usage will lead to immediate disqualification.
Participants may write down their points of
preparation and refer to it during speech but
may not read off of it.
Usage of legal terms carry no weightage and
will not be considered for extraneous marking.
Solo event
Two participants per class.
PS GOT TALENT
Individual OR Team Event.
Maximum 8 Participants per team.
The event will have three rounds.
Participants can showcase their talents
within a duration of 4 minutes in the first
round, 7 minutes in the second round and
10 minutes in the final round.
Participants must earn at least three YES
votes from the Judges in order to move to
the subsequent round. The final winner
will be decided through audience voting.
Acts can range from singing, dancing,
comedy, magic, etc. All acts must be
appropriate - vulgarity or usage of foul
language would lead to immediate
disqualification.
DUMB C
3 participants per team.
1st round: One member of each team will be
given a movie, song and a book name and the
other two must find out the names correctly
within a specified time.
2nd round: Each member will be given a clue
related to a famous movie. First the
participants must act out the clue given to
them to the other 2 team members and then
put all the clues together to find out the movie
within a specified time
QUIZ
Consists two rounds, each with three themes. Five
questions in each theme, with points ranging from 100 to
500 based on difficulty.
Three participants contest against each other at the
same time.
Correct answers add points, while wrong ones deduct
points.
For the questions answered correctly, they’re awarded
the points respective to that question and if answered
wrongly points are deducted.
Individual points can go in negative which can be
recovered by “Daily Double”.
When the question chosen has “Daily Double”
contestants must decide wager points, limited by their
current score; negative scores can wager up to 1000.
Correct responses earn the wagered amount, while
incorrect ones result in the loss of the wagered amount;
one Daily Double occurs randomly in each round.
IMPORTANT NOTE: All the questions must be
answered in the format “What is _” or “Who is ___”.
Else respective points will be deducted.
It is an individual event.
RADIO SHOW
A team event of 4 members.
Each team is given 5 minutes to perform.
Each team can emulate a podcast, advertise
products, make a comedy news report, make a
call show, broadcast new tunes etc.
Students will be behind a curtain screen with
mikes.
Students are strictly forbidden from derogatory
language, insults, innuendo etc.
Reference material can be used behind screen
SHARK TANK
A PPT of 10-15 slides regarding:
What is the product/service?
What problem is your product/service
solving?
Key Features of the product
The pros and cons (SWOT Analysis)
What are your financial breakdowns?
(How much money you would need for
each activity and finalise the total
amount with margins adjusted)
What is your marketing strategy?
What is the equity stake you’re
expecting? (bidding amount).
The team should consist of a minimum of 2
members and a maximum of 3 members.
Vulgarity of any form will lead to
disqualification.
SUBMISSION EVENT - ART
Individual Event
TOPICS:
1. Imagine and put into paper your interpretation of the
world through a hero's/ a villain's perspective. (You will be
tested on the basis of creative world-building)
Create a poster for Renaissance 2023 utilizing the theme -
Bollywood vs Kollywood.
Recreate a famous painting in your own interpretation —
You are welcome to utilize mosaic art, abstract art, doodle
art, or any other type of art or media.
4. Recreation of an iconic cinematic scene in cartoon style
Permitted mediums: Color pencils, Watercolors, Poster Colors,
Oil pastels, Soft pastels, and Markers
Participants must select any 1 topic listed above and submit
their original artwork (painting, drawing, or sketch) on an A3,
A4 OR A5 paper.
The participant must also sign the artwork after completion
with the date to guarantee its authenticity. Digital art is not
permitted.
A good quality photograph of the drawing is to be sent by
email in jpeg/png format. Kindly mention your Name, Class &
Section, and Topic Name in the Drawing.

Drawings accepted until 16/11/2023, 10 am. Pictures received
after the deadline won't be considered.
SUBMISSION EVENT
PHOTOGRAPHY
THEME : Colour Palette. (Choose a colour and
that colour should be dominant in that image)
Basic editing is allowed (Brightness, color,
exposure).
GOOD NEWS - usage of smartphones is
allowed, BUT, usage of PRO mode gives you a
first mover advantage. Similarly, usage of RAW
mode in DSLR, fetches bonus points for you.
Plagiarism of any sort will lead to immediate
disqualification.
JPG, CR2, NEF file formats will be accepted.
JUDGES NOTE: Candid stills of the Event
carries bonus points, but submitting only
candids will lead to immediate
disqualification.

SUBMISSION EVENT - DANCE
A solo/team event.
A team should consist of 4 to 7 people.
Time limit: 2 to 4 minutes.
The dance can be classical, western or a fusion of
both.
Songs taken from movies SHOULD NOT contain
lyrics. Classical songs from movies are permitted.
Attire should be school friendly. (Jeans not allowed
instead, the participants can wear track pants or
formal pants).
The songs chosen must not contain vulgar lyrics.
Vulgarity of any form will lead to immediate
disqualification.

SUBMISSION EVENT -
CREATIVE WRITING
Individual event
Participants will be given four prompts, out of which they can
pick any one and write prose/article/essay in 400-650 words
TOPICS:
Fiction reveals truth that reality obscures.
An anonymous package arrives for a journalist, filled with cryptic
photographs that appear to foretell future tragedies
Dreams are the currency of a parallel world, and individuals
must exchange their dreams to fulfill their desires
An old man’s hearing aid begins to pick up mysterious signals.
We [Americans] finally get men on Mars and they discover an old
Soviet flag placed down decades ago. The Soviets won the
space race but for whatever horrifying reason didn't say
anything.
Participants will be judged on the
basis of concept, fluidity and grammar.
