COMMUNICATION
STYLES
The process of sharing information between two or more people is called
communication. Conveying intended information and understanding from one
person to another is the major goal of the process, as the message is sent in the
form of ideas, thoughts, feelings, and views and transmitted between two or
more persons with the intent of developing a common understanding.
Understanding how messages are transmitted is necessary for effective
communication, but style must be watched.

ASSERTIVE
COMMUNICATION
Assertive Communication involves expressing own needs, desires,
ideas, and feelings while also actively listening to others' perspectives
and maintaining appropriate boundaries.

A communicator aims for a win-win situation by balancing their own


rights with others.

nonverbal cues to convey their displeasure or
frustration. This approach often leads to
misunderstandings and can create tension within
relationships or group settings.
