How to Get the 8-Direction Dash

● People keep asking me about how to get the 8-direction dash, so I’ve been watching
back some old videos and noticed an issue with the Anthony Hill map. I’ve missed
the button off in the bottom right corner, so I’ve rejigged the text around in that whole
area to clarify what button does what.
0 is the video where I get the Full Direction Dash, incidentally.

27th December 2023

● Area 3 - North Station map updated for 1.4.0 (Black and White DLC) with the Rabbit
Doll
● Area 15 - Bunker 444 map updated for 1.4.0 (Black and White DLC) with expanded
grid and coordinates, new info for Yaam, new rooms and solution to the doors puzzle
● Area 16 - Baak’s Dreamscape map created using composited screenshots of all the
rooms in the mapless DLC area.
○ There are a couple of areas on this with minor problems because of the tools
I was using to zoom out. Some of the water blocks aren’t properly transparent
so you can’t see through them, and some areas are very foggy or have odd
particle fx.
○ It’s still very readable, however, and features green numbers for the order to
follow and coloured arrows for chess puzzle solutions that I hope are fairly
straightforward to read.
● Area 17 - Peak of Faith map created using very rough composited screenshots of
the rooms in the Path of Pain-style platforming challenge DLC area.
○ There’s a lot wrong with this, unfortunately, because of the tools I was using
to zoom out. Some of the water blocks aren’t properly transparent so you
can’t see through them.

12th April 2023

23rd September 2022

● Bunker 404 name changed to Bunker 444. (No idea why they’ve changed the name
as the level is still shaped like the numbers 404 so the pun is now lost.
○ Edit: Apparently in a lot of Eastern cultures, the number 4 is considered a bad
number (like 13 in the West) - thanks to Kawaiineko333 on Steam for filling
me in on that. Much appreciated!
● Added Developer’s Log #20 to Emperor Tower East
● Changed reference to endings for slight clarification
● Changed reference to Bunker 404 when referring to passcode from Gael
● Changed Photo of Ms Lee to correct colour. Corrected spellings.
● Added Daily Photo of Genie collectible to Emperor Tower West
● Updated the map of 3Kyo’s mind in Anthony Hill, adding Plan and Princess
Momoyama’s Letter as well as updating the background graphic to that from the
latest release of the game

Hill, plus the new ToiletPort nearby

● Added information about codex entries 08. Three-Fingers, 09. Bobo, and 10. Fatty
to Neo Sanho
● Added code for Genie’s office in Sanho Ruins to the Neo Sanho map. I believe the
0996 passcode may be usable without uncovering it in Neo Sanho.
● Added 15. Wang Ping codex entry to Sanho Ruins
● Added info on Squishy Moment achievement to Sanho Ruins
● Added Genie’s office, terminal, and the life shard and final ATK+3 collectibles to
Sanho Ruins

1st September 2022

● Added note to the mountain map about how to access the top. You need Full
Direction Dash and Glide. There may be other ways of doing it, but this is how I did
it. (eg if you have 3 energy slots it may be easier but I did it with 2).
● Updated all maps so that they have correct linking zone/area names.
● Green Dye is now correctly listed as Dye: Green in People’s Square for consistency
● Added note about the Samurai boss fight and Full Direction Dash shortly before the
hallucination sequence trigger
● Added note about triggering switch using Aim Mode in Anthony Hill
● Added note for clarification on door opening in Anthony Hill
● Extra info on Neo Sanho map regarding ways into the top of the Disc Store
● Added item labels in Neo Sanho for the Torn Picture (Left), How To Win Over
Pretty Girls and Tape: Yellow as well as a note about the boombox password
● Added clarification on how to reach the HP next to game start in Sanho Ruins – you
need the Full Direction Dash to be able to make it up there
● Massively expanded the Neo Sanho map with an explanation of the Bobo and
Three-Fingers questline and codex entries. I’ll be adding one for Ms Lee as soon as
I’ve done that section of the game in 1.0
● Added note about fan activation to Subway Depot since it involves manipulating the
hacking mechanic around the pink sparkles (which isn’t explained in the game
anywhere)
● Also updated name of and added note about the Wasteland Reclaimer Poster in
Subway Depot including how to access it

31st August 2022

● Lots of questions about passcodes for doors
○ Fatty’s password was changed from the early access. It’s obtained from the
torn picture (right) which is in the top room of People’s Square. Used to be
1221 and is now 1331.
○ Passcode to Bunker 404 is obtained after defeating Gael in Emperor Tower
and is 0404.
○ The passcode for the terminal in Neo Sanho to open the dark room where
Bobo is being held captive (so you can complete his codex and the
Imprisoned Bobo mission) is 9191, which you receive from listening to the
“learning English basics” cassette tape all the way through.
● Fixed note on Intellectuals’ Spring book in North Station (and what to do with it).
● Double-checked toiletport location in The Brewery which was has been moved a
couple times during development. Removed query note.
● Metro Tunnel renamed to Subway Tunnel.
● Added note about getting Sword Waves ‘early’ to the Subway Tunnel map
● Added note about getting Boosted Charge ‘quicker’ to the Peoples’ Square map

25th August 2022

● Initial maps for v1.0 of the game are uploaded, based on my previous v0.9 maps.
Changing details and fixing things as I go.This will take some time, as mentioned in
the note above.
● Made the decision to remove the green HELP STATION icons from the maps. They
add clutter and aren’t really necessary. Plus they’re located in generally obvious
locations in game.
● Pretty certain passcodes haven’t changed but will update if needed.
● Disc numbers are currently for my reference. Will change when finished updating.
