WORK FROM HOME GUIDELINES

1. Employees working from home must comply with company policies just like their office-
based colleagues, including (but not limited to) policy on confidentiality, data protection,
employee code of conduct, social media, dress code when attending meetings with staff or
client, etc.
2. Work from home means the employee is working from their home and does not recognize
informal telecommuting arrangements (such as working on the road during private travel,
going to the market, salon or recreational club, etc.) as flexible working.
3. It is the responsibility of the employee to ensure that they have a suitable and conducive
work space in their home and also that they have an adequate internet connection for
emails and other business applications, file sharing and tele-conferencing
4. Where an employee’s physical presence is required at a meeting or event, whether at a
work site, client or third-party location of company office, this requirement will supersede
any remote working schedule, unless the employee has specifically sought and obtained the
approval of their Head of Department to participate in the meeting or even remotely. The
onus shall be on the employee to specifically seek such permission or to clarify whether their
physical presence is required
5. Maximum rresponse time shall be one hour for emails, 30 minutes for text messages, and 15
minutes for calls
6. Requests to vary the work from home arrangement may be accommodated, on a temporary
or permanent basis, provided the request is made not less than 3 days before it takes effect
and it does not result in more than 50% of the Department working remotely at the same
time.

Any default on any of the policies will lead to revocation of work from home privileges for the
employee concerned.
