Miffy and her balloon plush toy pattern

My latest creation, my favorite bunny in the world...Miffy. She is
dedicated to my pet rabbit Nosy.

As this is a free pattern, pattern is for personal use only and may not be sold, photocopied or
copied electronically or distributed in any way. Please don't sell the toy you've made, and
please provide credit for the design of the pattern to myself (Knitterbees).

Begin dividing for ears
Using MC, knit the first 8 sts, CO4 sts as the inside edge of the
first ear. Place the next 16 stitches on a stitch holder. Knit the
last 8 sts. Join to knit in the round. Stuff the head before
MATILDA THE BALLERINA MOUSE beginning knitting. Pm.
Row 32-50: knit
Row 51: (k3,k2tog) Repeat to the end of the round.
Row 52: (k2,k2tog) Repeat to the end of the round. Start
inserting stuffing before hole gets too small.
Row 53: (k1,k2tog) Repeat to the end of the round.
Row 54: (k2tog) Repeat to the end of the round.
Use tweezers to stuff stuffing but don’t stuff too firmly. Break
yarn and thread tail through remaining stitches, pull to inside
of ear and weave in end.

Reattached MC from stitch holder and knit 16. Pickup and TOTAL PAGEVIEWS

Thank you for this pattern. I had trouble with the following two
rows:

Arm Row 9 as written would yield 16, not 18 stitches

Dress Row 20 is written as an increase row, but the stitch total
yields a decrease row

I think both cases are simple typos

Arm row 9 as "(kfb, k4) repeat to end of round" yields

18sts and also makes sense for the "repeat" (whereas
(kfb, k14) would leave nothing to repeat)

And dress row 20 following (p8, pfb) around would give

84sts, so I think the "64" was just a typo as well

I don't understand this bit (it's mentioned at more places, but

this is from the head): "CO4 sts as the inside edge of the first
ear." "Stuff the head before beginning knitting. Pm."

Hi! Love the pattern, am trying it right now for a little person I
know...Quick qn - when you begin the body, do you cast on
the 24 stitches by picking them up from the cast off edge of
the head? It doesn't say anywhere how to attach the body to
the head - just wondering! Also, I cast off 4 at the ears instead
of casting on (wasn't sure about CO4!) so now I see where I
went wrong! Thanks for posting!

I thought the same, so I decided not to knit it in the round.

Remember the rows will be purl. OR - double ended
needles until you have enough stitches to knit in the
round. OR - magic loop. I hope this helps. Happy knitting,

My Miffy turned out sooooo cute. I gave her to my God-

Hi! I'm pretty late to the Miffy game, but I'm determined to
make one for my niece-to-be.

I'm a bit confused at the bit where you start dividing for the
ears. After knitting the last 8 stitches, which bits are you
joining to knit in the round? I've got 8 stitches ahead of me,
and then the new 4 that I've CO. Can I email you a picture? I
think I've totally messed up!

Hello, I am awful at inturpreting patterns, on the arms of the

dress do I knit the arm first then join it to the round/gap
created or do I knit straight into this rounds/gap.

I knitted the 2nd leg in the same way as the first and then sew
the 8 stitches in the middle together, makes it more easy to

.hello - am almost finished Miffy and I feel there is a small typo

in the instructions for her Arms,ie Row 9 - reads (kfb, k14)
repeat to end - 18sts, It should be, I think, (kfb, k4) rep to end.

Glasgow Sick Childrens Hospital. Could I have permission to
