A – WRITE AN EMAIL/ LETTER

Một số lưu ý:
- Trong bài thi không cần viết địa chỉ người nhận, người gửi.
- Bài viết thư đảm bảo các phần: Greeting (lời chào), opening (nêu lí do viết thư), main body
(trả lời hết các ý yêu cầu), closing (kết thư).
- Viết tối thiểu 3 đoạn, hoặc mỗi ý chính viết thành 1 đoạn trong phần thân bài.

I – Writing an informal letter/ email.

Eg: You asked me what clothes I should bring.

II – Writing a formal letter/ email.

- Không được viết tắt
- Không hỏi thăm sức khoẻ
GIVING INFORMATION (Thư cung cấp thông tin)

[Main ideas]: Trả lời hết các ý đề bài yêu cầu

COMPLAINT (Thư phàn nàn)

I graduated from … [Which university] in … [which year]. Moreover, (nêu một số kinh nghiệm
và kĩ năng làm việc phù hợp với vị trí tuyển dụng).
With my above qualifications and experiences, I truly believe that I can well perform tasks as a

B – WRITING AN ESSAY
I – ADVANTAGE/ DISADVANTAGE ESSAY
Một số từ đồng nghĩa:
a. Lợi ích/ Ưu điểm

• Have a positive effect/ impact/ influence on
• A brings/ Offers/ Has several benefits
• There are several/ numerous/ various/ a variety of benefits
b. Nhược điểm
• Disadvatage, Drawback, Downside, Cons
• Have a negative effect/ impact/ influence on
• A brings/ Offers/ Has several drawbacks
• There are several/ numerous/ various/ a variety of drawbacks
Khung trả lời:
[General statements]. This essay will discuss both benefits and drawbaks of….
On the one hand, A brings many benefits( thay câu khác). Firstly, …. Seconly,…. Finally,….. For
example
However, there are some disadvantages of…. The first drawback is that … + Giải Thích. For
example,…. As a result, … (nêu hệ quả). Moreover = Addition= On top of that ,…. For example,
…. Consequently, …. (nêu hệ quả).
In conclusion, the benefits of …. (topic) outweigh the drawbacks. ( 1 lời giải thích ) + ( Lời khuyên
for sb)

II – OPINION ESSAY
Một số từ thể hiện quan điểm:
• For me it is obvious that…
• I support the view that…
• It seems to me that…
• I agree/ disagree with the idea that…
• It is widely believed that…
• It is true/ obvious that…
Khung trả lời: Nowadays, along the rapid development of economy …..
[General statements]. Form my perspective, I completely agree with the statement./ I totally
disagree with the statement that … And in this essay I will state the reasons for my view.
The most compelling reason for holding my view is that …. (nêu lí do 1 và giải thích 2 sentences)

In conclusion, for the reasons mentioned above, I believe that … ( nhắc lại ý kiến).

III – DISCUSSION
Khung trả lời:
While some people agrue that ….. (view1), others take the view that … (view2). In my opinion,
…. (Chọn quan điểm nào).
On one side of the argument, there are people who hold the opinion that… (view1). The most
compelling reason for believing this is …. (lí do và giải thích, Ví dụ). Another reason is that… (lí
do, giải thích ). For example,…
On the other hand (Despite the above arguments), …. (view2). ( Nêu ra 2 lí do như trên )
( Futhermore, It is my opinion that…. (quan điểm cá nhân + lí do + ví dụ ) : Ở cái này , mình đồng
ý với quan điểm nào thì viết vào đoạn văn của quan điểm đó.
In conclusion, while both views are commonly held in society, I believe that…. (View 1) is more
important than (view2). ( hoặc ngược lại ). This is because….. + 1 sentence giải thích.

IV – CAUSE AND EFFECT

V – PROBLEM AND SOLUTION
