**Beta Patch 1.16.

1, Nexusmods Hirata Update**

**Hirata**
-Added a new shrine.
-Edited scenery and enemy placement.

**Hirata Quest**
-Help 2 Hirata samurais defend the estate.
-Features AI-generated voices done by Mikiri.flver.
-Completing the quest will give more aid against Juzou, items, and clears out
bandits permanently.

**Lady Butterfly**
-Reworked.
-New snap seed mechanic. Use seed whenever she summons illusion to counter her.

**New Miniboss, Bandit Leader**


-Miniboss variant of Bandits.
-Plans to steal your money!
-Located in Hirata

**New Miniboss, Bouncer**


-Miniboss variant of Rotary Monks.
-Avid smoker.
-Located in Hirata.

**Reworked Miniboss, Masamune**


-Reworked early game Lone Shadow.
-Utilizes hidden-claw.
-Unique dialogue and voice acting by Mikiri.flver.
-Located in Hirata.

**Reworked Miniboss, Juzou**


-New Moveset.

**Reworked Miniboss, Shinobi Hunter**


-New Moveset.

**Rotary Monks (Senpou Strawhats)**


-Now consistently deflectable.
-When defending, monks will counter attack similar to most enemies.
-Added Recoil Counter opportunities.
-Removed random air hitboxes that would hit the player.

**Ashina Elite**
-Now will consistently deflect and counter attack in Iai stance.

**Dojo**
-Located in Reflection of Strength.
-New UI.
-Player will no longer lose any items, sen, xp on death.
-Enemies are scaled to AP 14.
-Player is scaled to AP 14.
-You are able to now change bell demon, charmless, and AP in the idol.
-You are *not* scaled to Vitality 20. (will be added later)
-Now includes a button to cycle through minibosses.
-More minibosses from Hirata are now included.
**Goshuin Seals**
-New system that is similar to Prayer Beads.
-Kill modded minibosses to collect these seals.
-Increases damage resistance and maximum posture.

**New attack, Recoil Counter Thrust**


-Hold R1 after deflecting a heavy strike.
-Fast movement speed.
-Deals more vitality damage, less posture damage than the normal slash.
-Staggers most enemies.

**New attack, Sword Slam**


-After mid-air deflecting or holding L Stick Back in the air, perform a sword slam.
-Deals above average damage.
-Subject to change.

**Projectile Reflect v2**


-Aerial Reflect unchanged.
-While on ground, Hold LB + LB to reflect incoming projectiles.
-Player is able to reflect all arrows and bullets from trash mobs. (Hirata bowmen,
Okami Warrior, Sunken Valley clan, Ashina Gunmen)
-Player is able to reflect multiple projectiles at the same time.

**Grapple Attacks**
-At any time during grappling, the player can use any prosthetic or combat art now.
-After Projectile Reflect, the player can immediately grapple or perform other
actions now.

**General**
-Enemy super armor now regenerates more slowly.
-R1 attacks can now be cancelled into a deflect or dodge directly after hitting an
enemy.
-All stages of R1 attacks can now be cancelled on startup.
-When the player is staggered, they are able to now recover with a dodge instead of
rolling over.
-New item, Snap Seed Pouch. Re-useable snap seeds.

**Skill Tree**
-Changed Shinobi Skill Tree.
-Updated UI.
-Prosthetic Skill Tree amount of prosthetics required lowered from 3 to 1.

-*These skills now always apply to the player:*


-Run and Slide.
-Vault Over.
-Mikiri.

**WIP Emblem Regen**


-Deflecting, unblocked slashing, and unblocked thrusting now build up to an emblem.
-Thrusts generate the most amount of buildup.
-Deflecting generates a small amount.
-Does not apply to any Combat Arts or Prosthetics.

**Prosthetics/Combat Arts**
These prosthetics are generally faster in recovery and attacks now:
-Shuriken
-Spear
-Divine Abduction
-Mist Raven
-Sabimaru
-High Monk
-Nightjar Slash

-Divine Abduction will now deflect enemy projectiles away from the player.
-When prompted to Recoil Counter, using Sabimaru will perform a different attack.
-After deflecting low hitstun attacks, using Sabimaru will use the 2nd variant of
moves. (more poison builduip)
-Firecrackers now have a 10 second stun cooldown to all enemies.
-High Monk's last kick will now send the player into an airborne state.
-Holding back on the L Stick will trigger the 2nd half of High Monk's attack
strings.
-Struggler's Prosthetic is now rewarded when you beat Sword Saint Isshin.
-Shortly after a Recoil Counter, Ashina Cross now gets a followup.
-Mist Raven can now be used when the player breaks posture.
-Nightjar Slash Reversal can now parry.

**Bug Fixes**
-Fixed being unable to resurrect under rare cases.
-Dodging into Lone Shadows or Genichiro's vulnerable state will no longer stun
them.
-Fixed Chained Ogre doing massive amount of damage.
-Armored Warrior no longer keeps red eyes in dojo.
-Ogre no longer instakills player in dojo upon spawning.
-Fixed Spear Pull.
-Player will no longer spawn far away when they die to Owl Father.
-Owl Father's arena no longer has missing pillars.
-Fixed names in Dojo.
-Fixed Vilehand's model.
-Fixed JP dialogue for new Hirata Quest
-Fixed Snake Eyes Bridgekeeper's drop.
-Fixed floating kunai on Bouncer's model.
-Fixed Tutorial Samurai's hitboxes.
-Using High Monk against Lady Butterfly will no longer trigger her counter attack.
