NRO RULES & GUIDELINES

Arts –

1. Palm Painting

Rules :-
 3 participant in 1 Group ( 2 participant Painting On 2 palms )
 Time Distribution – 35mins ( Paintwork ) + 10 min ( Drying Time )
 The painting must be below the elbow

2. Best Out Of Waste

Event Description –

The Participant will have to convert some wastage products ( such as Plastic bottles , Newspapers,
cans Etc ) into something useful ( such as – penstands, Bags Etc. ).

Rules :-

 Minimum 2 Participant Maximum 4 in a Group.


 Time Distribution – 35mins ( Paintwork ) + 10 min ( Drying Time )
 The material to be decorated must be brought by the participant.

Literary –

1. Spot The Difference

Event Description –

The Participants will be provided with 2 almost identical images & they will have to spot the minute
differences between them within the stipulated time.

Rules –

 2 participants in a group.
 Time allotted – 15 mins.
2. For or Against

Event Description –

This is the traditional Debate in which 2 teams will be provided with a topic . They will have to
choose their sides namely for or against.

Rules :-

 Total time = 20 min


 Each team will have 8 participants each.
 Each Participant will get 1 min each to speak. Each team will get 2 min each to counter the
other team’s points in the end.
 We will have 3 debating sessions i.e 6 teams required

Cultural

1. Singing

Rules –

 This is a group event . Each group can have a minimum of 4 and maximum of 10
participants.
 The instruments if any must be brought by the participants.
 The song choices must be appropriate maintaining the decorum of the event.

2. Dancing

Rules –

 This is a group event. Each group can have a minimum of 4 and maximum of 10
participants.
 The Costumes / Props if any must be brought by the participants.
 The song / Choreography choices must be appropriate maintaining the decorum of the
event.
 The Song must be provided to the organizers one hour before the commencement of the
event in cd form.
 The participants will get 2.5 mins to showcase their talent.

IMPORTANT POINTS
 Each student can participate in any 1 of the aforestated events. If student is found
participating in more than one event he/ she shall be disqualified from all the events.
 All the events are separate for boys & girls.
 Student must maintain proper discipline & abide by the rules & guidelines.
