Nguồn góc:Most information suggests that Tet originated in China and was introduced to
Vietnam during the 1000 years of Chinese domination.
Ý nghia(meaning)
-Is an occasion to return to the roots.
-Show respect to the gods and ancestors.
-Say goodbye to the old year and welcome the new year.
Activities during Tet: making banh chung, going to the pagoda to pray for luck and peace,
receiving lucky money, decorating the house, wishing a happy new year,...
Dos:
-buy salt at the beginning of the year.
-go to the temple to pray for luck and peace for the family.
-wear new, bright-colored clothes,
-make happy smile on the first day of the year.
Don't :
- break things.
- don't accept or reject lucky money because the purpose of lucky money is to get luck at the
beginning of the year.
- lend money to others.
- say unlucky things.
