Cherrywood

Notes
Cherrywood is a cosy sweater with a close neck, flattering split hem and texture details on
the sleeves. Knitted from the top down, it starts flat for the back of neck before being
worked in the round as a simple raglan shape. Body is worked straight down for the
desired length before splitting front and back hem. Both ribbed hems slightly curve in with
decreases and the back one is knitted slightly longer for a high-low effect. Sleeves are then
picked up and decreased for a fitted shape.
The elongated stitches is scaled differently depending on the size and are detailed in row by
row instructions. A video tutorial is provided showing you how to create the motif.
The sweater is intended to be worn with little positive ease but the simple shaping allows
for various modifications.
Use the hashtag #cherrywoodsweater to share your project.

Elongated st motif :
To make the elongated stitch you will wrap the yarn several times around the needle for
each stitch.
For example, k2 wp x times means two elongated stitches, so you need to knit one st
wrapping the yarn x times, then repeat for the second stitch.
On the next rows you will slip these stitches and let all the extra wraps go, making long
stitches.
To form the motif, you will later drop the long stitches and reposition them in a different
spot by slipping stitches as instructed.

Here is a video tutorial showing you how to create the elongated st motifs.
