Election to the Maharashtra Medical Council, Mumbai

No. MMC/Election-2025/01.—Notice is hereby given pursuant to the provisions of Rule 8 of the
Maharashtra Medical Council (First Amendment) Rules, 2002, that,—
(1) an election is to be held of Nine (9) members of the Maharashtra Medical Council elected by
the registered practitioners from amongst themselves ;
(2) nominations of registered practitioners eligible to fill the seats are invited ;
(3) forms of nomination paper may be obtained from the Registrar, Maharashtra Medical Council,
189-A, Anand Complex, 1st Floor, Sane Guruji Marg, Arthur Road Naka, Chinchpokali (West),
Mumbai 400 011 on application during office hours.

(4) nomination papers may be sent so as to reach the undersigned at or before 15-00 Hrs.
(3-00 p.m.) on Tuesday, the 18th February 2025 to the Returning Officer, Maharashtra Medical
Council, Mumbai at the office of Registrar, Maharashtra State Dental Council, 3 floor, Govt. Dental
College & Hospital, St. George Hospital Compound, Near CSMT Railway Station, Fort, Mumbai
400 001 Maharashtra.
(5) nomination papers will be taken up for scrutiny at 11-30 Hrs. (11-30 a.m.) on Thursday,
the 27th February 2025 at C.D.E. Hall, 3 floor, Govt. Dental College & Hospital, St. George Hospital
Compound, Near CSMT Railway Station, Fort, Mumbai 400 001 Maharashtra.
(5A) candidature may be withdrawn by a notice in writing signed by the candidate and delivered
to the Returning Officer, so as to reach him at or before 15-00 Hrs. (3-00 p.m.) on Monday, the
3rd March 2025 to the Returning Officer, Maharashtra Medical Council, Mumbai at the office of
Registrar, Maharashtra State Dental Council, 3 floor, Govt. Dental College & Hospital, St. George
Hospital Compound, Near CSMT Railway Station, Fort, Mumbai 400 001 Maharashtra.
(6) in the event of the election being contested,—
(a) the voting shall be by secret ballot ;
(b) the election shall be held in each District head quarter under the supervision of the
District Collector on Thursday, the 3rd April 2025 during 8-00 a.m. to 5-00 p.m. ;
(c) all medical practitioners whose names have been included in the Electoral Roll should
vote in person and bring with them their Registration Certificate/Identity Card issued to them
by Maharashtra Medical Council for facilitating identification of voters.
