TASK 00-00-00-XX3-810-A - Use of the Manual
EFFECTIVITY: 001999
1. Procedure
(Refer to Fig. 00-00-00-990-090-A00)
A. How to find a task
With an example, this paragraph shows how to find a task in the AMM. It is recommended to read the paragraph about "Sorting of
tasks in the AMM" first (Refer to paragraph C.(6) of task 00-00-00-XX2-810-A).
Example: Install the Instrument Cooling Flow-Sensor:
• Determine the ATA-100 subject for elements 1, 2 and 3 of the task number, in this case 21-26-10
• Determine the pageblock identifier for the third digit of element 5 of the task number, in this case 4 from
REMOVAL/INSTALLATION pageblock 401. (Remember that tasks are first sorted by ATA-100 subject, then by pageblock)
• In the Table of Contents (TOC), you only have to make a selection of tasks with subject 21-26-10 and 4 as pageblock identifier
(21-26-10-FFF-YY4-C). In this case the task number is 21-26-10-400-834-A.
• Use the information in the footer to find the correct task in the same way you selected the task in the TOC: First select the
subject (elements 1, 2 and 3), then the pageblock (third digit of element 5), then the function code (element 4), then the
sequence number ( first two digits of element 5), and last the configuration letter (element 6).
(Refer to Fig. 00-00-00-990-100-A00)
B. List of Effective Pages (LEP)
The LEP of a chapter lists all tasks with their current page numbers and issue dates.
(Refer to Fig. 00-00-00-990-110-A00)
C. Table of Contents (TOC)
The TOC of a chapter lists all sub-systems, sub-subsystems and components with their, task numbers (1) and effectivity (2). When the
task is effective for all aircraft, the effectivity column (2) is left empty
D. Weights and measurements
For Imperial/US values the decimal point is shown by a period. For SI (metric) values the decimal fraction is shown by a comma.
When the units of measurements are shown on aircraft instrumentation, only the units which are shown on the aircraft instrumentation
are given.
E. At the start of a maintenance procedure it is assumed that the aircraft is in the following configuration:
• No external power sources connected
• All types of internal power off
• All systems serviceable, with the exception of those systems which have a fault reported in the engine/aircraft log, or a fault
indication on the maintenance and test panel
• All systems normal
• All circuit breakers closed, with the exception of those of a defective system
• All access panels/doors closed
• Landing-gear ground locks installed
• Wheel chocks installed
• Pitot covers installed
• Flight control locks engaged
• Parking brake on.
