You will need…
• DK Yarn of your choice in cream (approx. 65 yards), blue (25 yards),
small amount of black, yellow and orange
• 2.5mm Hook (US C)
• Stuffing
• Safety eyes 7mm
• Tapestry Needle
• Scissors
• Stitch Markers
Yarn I used for this pattern:
Ricorumi 100% cotton dk yarn-
• 061 Ivory
• 060 Black
• 032 Blue
• 006 Yellow
• 026 Tangerine
• Please note that any yarn works fine, although the size of the finished product
may vary. I recommend using one hook size smaller than the yarn recommends-
to ensure the stitches are nice and tight. If you are using a hook larger than
2.5mm you may need more yarn than is estimated.
• Size: Approx 3 inches tall and 4.5 inches long. The size of your piece may
vary depending on what yarn and hook size you use.
• This pattern is worked in a continuous spiral without joining rounds. I
recommend placing a stitch marker in the last stitch of each round so you
don’t lose count of the stitches!
• Difficulty Level: Medium

How to Bobble Stitch:
In this pattern I will be using a 4 double-crochet bobble stitch. This is
made by doing 4 incomplete double crochet stitches.
1. Yarn over and insert your crochet hook into the desired stitch.
2. Yarn over and pull through.
3. Yarn over and pull through 2 loops on the hook.
4. Repeat steps 1-3 3 more times. You will now have 5 loops on your
hook.
5. Yarn over and pull through all 5 loops on your hook. You have now
completed a 4 double-crochet bobble stitch!
6. The following stitch will always be a single crochet. Insert your hook
into the next stitch, yarn over and pull through. Then push your bobble
stitch to the front side of your work before finishing the single crochet.

***Please Note***
The pattern is very particular (and
messy) because no two bobble stitches
can sit directly next to one another.
Please take note that there should
always be at least one single crochet on
either side of each bobble stitch to
ensure this diagonal look is achieved.
This means that each and every round
can be complicated to allow for this.

Assembly
Always pin together everything first! This way, you can see how it will
look and if you are happy with it.

1. Sew head to body. It sits over the
last rounds of the body slightly above
the centre. It lies diagonally away from
the body as pictured.
2. Sew head swirl to top of head. Press the end flat and pin in just
behind the back of the head. Then curl the rest up on top of the head as
pictured and pin in place. Begin by sewing along the flat top edge, and
then around the perimeter of the swirl shape to ensure it is tightly
affixed.
3. Sew ears to either side of the head. The bottoms of the ears lie on
round 7 of the head, and the tops touch the head swirl. When sewing,
do not hesitate to sew the tops of the ears directly onto the head swirl.
4. Sew orb to end of tail
5. Sew tail to back of body. Sew centrally over
round 1. If your tail does not sit upright
enough, you can add a few more stitches
attaching it higher up to the body (to pull it
upwards).

6. Sew legs to bottom of body as pictured. The front and back legs
should have 4 rounds between them, with 1 bobble stitch showing
inbetween.
