PIGLET

CROCHET PATTERN

Skill level: Advanced Beginners Weekend Project


Materials and Tools:
Yarn 170 m/50 g For the Piglet color: pink (Suggestion: Gazzal Jeans
1116)
Yarn 160 m/ 50 g For start hands and legs, color: brown
(Suggestion: YarnArt Jeans)
Crochet hook: 1.75 mm Clover “Amour”
Safety eyes 12 mm
Tapestry neddle
Polyester fiberfill
Scissors
Finished Size is

Abbreviations: 6 inches tall :)
MR – magic ring
Ch – chain stitch
Sc – single crochet
Inc – increase
Dec – decrease
Sl st - slip stitch
X – denotes how many times to repeat the action in parentheses – ()

Notes:
This pattern uses US crochet terminology.
Every round should be continuous (NO Slip Stitch).
You can place safety eyes or embroider them with black yarn.
The circles next to the instructions are a checklist that will make it
easier to follow the pattern
Ears (Pink color)
Make 2

Rnd 1: 6 Sc in a MR (6)
Rnd 2: (1 Sc, 1 Inc) x 3 (9)

Rnd 4-7: 14 Sc (14) (4 Rnds) Change to pink
Rnd 8-10: 14 Sc (14) (3 Rnds)
Rnd 11: (1 Dec, 5 Sc) x 2 (12) Fill the piece, leave the top unfilled.
Rnd 12: (1 Sc, Dec) x 4 (8)
Rnd 13: 8 Sc (8)
Rnd 14: 4 Dec (4) Close with a tapestry needle, cut the yarn, leave
a long tail to sew.
Muzzle (Pink color)
Make 2 - Do not cut the yarn in the second piece.
Rnd 1: 6 Sc in a MR (6)
Rnd 2: (1 Sc, 1 Inc) x 3 (9)
Rnd 3-4: 9 Sc (9) (2 Rnds) Leave a long tail, cut the yarn.
To join the pieces, make a Sl st and do:

Rnd 8-9: 32 Sc (32) (2 Rnds)

Cut the yarn, leaving a tail for sewing. Turn the piece inside out as
shown in the photo. Use the yarn tail from the first piece to sew the
opening between the nostrils closed.
Legs - Body (Brown and pink colors)
Make 2 - Start with brown color.
Rnd 1: 8 Sc in a MR (8)
Rnd 2: 8 Inc (16)
Rnd 3: (1 Sc, 1 Inc) x 8 (24)

Start with pink color. join the legs in Rnd 8, like the image below

Rnd 15-17: 64 Sc (64) (3 Rnds) Use the end of the light brown yarn
to sew the place where the legs join.

Rnd 18: (6 Sc, 1 Dec) x 8 (56) Fill the legs firmly.

weave in end.
Assembling:
Sew the head at the body with a tapestry needle.

Sew the muzzle at the head between rounds 16-23 with a


tapestry needle. The muzzle should be in the middle of the eyes,
right next to them.

Sew the ears to the sides of the head, 8 rows down from the
magic ring.

Sew the arms near the neck, 2-3 rows down from the seam.
Your Piglet is Ready!
