I.Motivation
This activity is called “Guess the logo” The teacher will
present a picture card and the pupils will guess the province of CAR-
Cordillera Administrative Region

II.Presenting of Objectives
I.Discussion
- The Cordillera Administrative Region (CAR) was established on July
15, 1987 through executive Order No. 220 issued by President Corazon
Aquino. It is the only land-locked region of the Philippines. The region
consists of the provinces of Abra, Apayao, Benguet, Ifugao, Kalinga,
Mountain Province and Apayao.
- The Cordillera Administrative Region in the Philippines is home to the
Igorot tribes, known for their distinct cultural traditions. These
include elaborate dance rituals, the use of Bulul statues for protection,
and community roles demonstrated through dance.
- Cordillera Administrative Region (CAR) is rich in ancient culture. It is
the home of the indigenous tribe called the Igorot. The way of life of the
people in this region existed way back to ancient Filipinos before the
Spanish colonization.
During the Lesson
1)students will use colored markers to outline CAR on the blank map.
2) Label the provinces and major geographical features of the region.
3) Present their maps to the class, explaining the significance of each
area.
After they marked the outline of CAR and Present, the teacher will ask
the following question :
1) What are the geographical features that define CAR?
2) How does CAR's location impact its climate?
3) What provinces are included in CAR, and what are their
characteristics?
