HOW TO PERSEVERE UNTIL THE END

WE HAD SEEN THAT THE SLOTH IS NOT THE ONE WHO IS LAZY BUT
He who has no vision, no mission and therefore has no plans nor
GOALS, NOW LET'S SEE THAT HE WHO PERSEVERES IS NOT THAT
NEITHER DOES IT PERSIST IN ANYTHING, BECAUSE: PUT THE PHRASE

HAVE YOU EVER FELT SO OVERWHELMED BY TEMPTATIONS

THAT COME INTO YOUR LIFE THAT YOU HAVE BEEN AFRAID TO FALL SO
SPECTACULARLY THAT YOU CAN NO LONGER GET BACK ON YOUR FEET
TO CONTINUE RUNNING THE CHRISTIAN RACE? HAVE YOU EVER YOU
HAVE YOU ASKED IF YOU WILL BE ABLE TO PERSEVERE UNTIL THE END? I HAVE.
HAVING ASKED THAT, HAVE YOU EVER WONDERED IF IN THE END
YOU WILL BE LIKE THOSE WHOM CHRIST MENTIONS IN THE PARABLE
OF THE SOWER, WHO BELIEVE FOR A LITTLE WHILE, BUT WHEN
DO THE TESTS SEPARATE? OR MAYBE AT THIS MOMENT YOU
YOU ARE SO STUCK IN YOUR CHRISTIAN LIFE THAT YOU HAVE ALREADY LOST THE
HOPE OF CONTINUING TO ADVANCE, OF BECOMING USEFUL FOR HIM
KINGDOM OF GOD. WELL, MY BROTHER IF THAT IS YOUR SITUATION IN THIS
TOMORROW, I HOPE THAT THE TEACHING OF THIS PASSAGE WILL BE OF

SOME OF THE BELIEVERS WHO ORIGINALLY RECEIVED THIS

LETTER, WHICH WE KNOW AS THE LETTER TO THE HEBREWS, WERE

WE FOUND SEVERAL WARNINGS AGAINST THE SIN OF
APOSTASY.
CHILDREN THIS WORD IS STRANGE FOR SOME OF YOU, BUT
"APOSTATIZE" IS NOTHING OTHER THAN, TO DISTANCE ONESELF FROM THE FAITH. A
A PERSON WHO FOR SOME TIME SAYS THEY ARE CHRISTIAN, AND OF
SUDDENLY IT RETURNS TO THE WORLD, THAT IS APOSTASY. AND IT IS PRECISELY IN
THE CONTEXT OF ONE OF THE STRONGEST WARNINGS OF THIS
LETTER, AGAINST APOSTASY, WHICH CONTAINS THE TEXT THAT
WE ARE GOING TO STUDY TODAY.
IN FACT, SOME HAVE ERRONEOUSLY CONCLUDED, IN LIGHT OF

THE REASON WHY THERE ARE SO MANY WARNINGS AGAINST THE

APOSTASY, NOT ONLY IN THIS LETTER, BUT IN THE WHOLE N.T. IS BECAUSE
WE CANNOT ASSUME THAT ALL WHO PROFESS TO BE CHRISTIANS
AND WHAT ARE MEMBERS OF THE CHURCH, TRULY, IF THEY ARE WHAT THEY SAY
SER.

IT WILL BE MANIFESTED THAT IT IS STILL POSSIBLE THAT THERE ARE SOME HERE
THAT ARE NOT OF US. LOOK AT VERSE 9 ONCE MORE.
Heb 6:9 But concerning you, beloved, we are persuaded of
better things, which pertain to salvation, even though we speak like this.
For God is not unjust to forget your work and the labor of love.

1. THE FIRST ONE IS THAT PERSEVERANCE IS THE MARK OF
EXCELLENCE OF DIVINE PRESERVATION.
BROTHER, LET ME ASK YOU A QUESTION. IS FAITH A GIFT FROM
GOD? YES OR NO? AND IS REPENTANCE A GIFT FROM GOD? YES, IT IS A
GIFT OF GOD. AND NOW HOW DO I KNOW THAT GOD HAS GIVEN SOMEBODY THE
GIFT OF FAITH? BECAUSE THE PERSON BELIEVES. HOW DO I KNOW THAT GOD HAS
HAS SOMEONE BEEN GIVEN THE GIFT OF REPENTANCE? BECAUSE THE PERSON
HE REPENTS. WELL, HOW DO I KNOW THAT GOD IS PRESERVING
SOMEONE? BECAUSE THAT PERSON IS PERSEVERING.
TRUE FAITH PERSEVERES UNTIL THE END. AS WE SAW IN THE TEXT

Not all Christians have the assurance of salvation.

BELIEVING THAT THEY ARE BELIEVERS. Not everyone who says to me, 'Lord, Lord'
will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only he who does the will of my Father
who is in the heavens.
SO SECURITY OF SALVATION IS NOT NECESSARY TO BE
SAVINGS. HOWEVER, WHEN A BELIEVER CANNOT BE
SURE OF HIS SALVATION, HE WILL NOT BE ABLE TO ENJOY FULLY THE
BLESSING OF BEING SAVED. NEITHER WILL IT BE ABLE TO RUN WELL THE
CAREER. NOTICE VERSE 12
WHY I WANT YOU TO ACHIEVE FULL SAFETY OF THE
HOPE? Heb 6:12 so that you do not become lazy, but
imitators of those who through faith and patience inherit the promises.
BEING SURE MOVES YOU NOT TO BE LAZY, HOW CAN WE
THEN HOW TO OBTAIN A FULL CERTAINTY OF OUR SALVATION? OR
HOW ARE WE GOING TO BE ABLE TO CONTINUE ADVANCING TOWARDS MATURITY IN
OUR CHRISTIAN LIVES IN SUCH A WAY THAT WE CAN BE EACH
BE MORE USEFUL FOR THE KINGDOM OF GOD.
VERSE 12 TELLS US 2 THINGS ABOUT IT: THE FIRST IS THAT
WE MUST CONTINUE TO BE DILIGENT IN TAKING CARE OF OUR
SOULS.
Heb 6:12 so that you do not become lazy, but imitate those
that by faith and patience they inherit the promises.
AND THE LAZINESS THAT THE AUTHOR IS TALKING ABOUT HERE IS A
UNWILLINGNESS TO FULFILL OUR DUTIES
SPIRITUAL. YOU MUST READ THE BIBLE, YOU MUST PRAY, YOU MUST COME
TO THE CHURCH, YOU MUST COME TO THE PRAYER SERVICE, YOU MUST HAVE A
EDIFYING COMMUNION WITH OTHER BROTHERS IN FAITH. THOSE ARE
OUR SPIRITUAL DUTIES, BUT THE LAZY ONE KNOWS IT,
IT DOES NOT DO IT.

Solomon says in Proverbs 26:13 that the lazy always has

AN EXCUSE TO STOP DOING WHAT YOU HAVE TO DO. Pro 26:13
The sloth says: The lion is on the road; The lion is in the streets.
IMAGINE YOU, I WANT TO GO OUT TO WORK, BUT THERE IS A LION
OUTSIDE THE DOOR OF MY HOUSE. SO, I PREFER TO STAY HERE
SAFE.
Pro 15:19 The way of the slothful is as a hedge of thorns; THE
HE HAS A DUTY TO FULFILL, BUT HE MAGNIFIES IT IN SUCH A WAY THAT

NOTHING REACHES. THE SLOTH HAS NOT LOST THE ABILITY TO DESIRE

DECREED TO STRENGTHEN OUR SPIRITUAL HEALTH, MAKING USE
FROM THOSE MEANS.
BUT THE FACT OF STRIVING TO DO THOSE THINGS DOES NOT
THEY DESERVE NOTHING. BECAUSE THAT DILIGENCE IS DRIVEN
IN US BY PURE GRACE IN A MYSTERIOUS WAY THAT
WE WILL NEVER BE ABLE TO UNDERSTAND. WHAT DOES PAUL SAY?

Philippians 2:12 Therefore, my beloved, as you have always obeyed,

only when I am present, but much more now that I am
absent, occupy yourselves with your salvation with fear and trembling, for
God is the one who produces in you both the will and the doing, according to his
goodwill.
WHO PRODUCES WANTING AND DOING? GOD PRODUCES IT. WHO IS
WHO HAS TO TAKE CARE OF HIS SALVATION? YOU AND I MUST

Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us
blessed with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ
according to his choice in him before the foundation of the world, so that
we would be holy and without blemish before him.

Everything we enjoy from the hand of God is

ONLY BY CHRIST. OR LET ME PUT IT ANOTHER WAY, STILL
