MATHEMATICS CONTEST RULES

OBJECTIVES:

Measure the level of development of the student's abilities based on the


expected learnings.
Stimulate interest in learning Mathematics.
Encourage Mathematical Logical Reasoning.
Foster healthy competition among students.
Bases of the Contest
2. BASES OF THE COMPETITION:
2.1 OF THE PARTICIPANTS:

All students from First to Fifth Grade of Secondary will participate. With character
mandatory.

2.2 OF THE STAGES

2.2.1. FIRST STAGE: A test will be given to all students from First to Fifth
of Secondary.

2.2.2. FINAL STAGE: A maximum of 15 students per grade will take the test who have
obtained the best grades.

2.3. FROM THE TEST

In the first phase, the questions will be at a basic and intermediate level.

2.3.2. Schedule:

First Test: Month of August.

Final Exam: Month of August.

2.3.3 The tests will be prepared according to the progress of the Program for each grade and
They will have a maximum of 20 questions.

2.3.4 Duration of the Test:

First phase: 45 minutes.

Second phase: 60 minutes.


2.3.5 In the tests, two criteria will be evaluated:

Problem solving.

Reasoning and proof.

The grades obtained in these two criteria will be considered for the third bimester.

2.3.6 The use of calculators, formula tables, extra sheets, etc. is not allowed.

2.3.7 The lending of materials is not allowed.

2.4. OF THE JURY AND THE RATING:

2.4.1 For the purposes of consideration in the course, each criterion will be evaluated from 0 to 20
taking into account the procedure. (There will be two notes).

The grade for classification purposes will be from 0 to 20. The results are from
unappealable character.

2.4.3 The Jury will be made up of the Professors of the Department of Mathematics.

2.4.4 For the qualification, the following will be considered: PROCEDURE ORDER AND CLARITY.

2.5. ON AWARDS:

Students who obtain a score of 13 or higher in the first phase will receive 2 additional points.
on the average of the lowest criterion.

2.5.2 Students who advance to the final phase will receive one additional point in each of the
criteria.

2.5.3 The students who occupy the First and Second place will earn two additional points in
the average of each of the criteria considered in the bimester. In addition, there will be
creditors of awards granted by the School Administration.

CHAPTER I: PURPOSE
The purpose of this document is to establish the foundations for the call, development and
evaluation OF THE MATHEMATICAL REASONING CONTEST -2011
CHAPTER II: ON THE OBJECTIVES
2.1 GENERAL

 otivate and encourage the learning and teaching of mathematics by creating bonds of
friendship and brotherhood in the XXV Anniversary of the Institution "PERÚ KAWACHI"

2.2 SPECIFIC
E
 ncourage the development and quality of logical-mathematical thinking at the Primary level
E ncourage the competitive spirit and academic excellence in students and teachers.
D  iscover talented students in the field of mathematics and academic aptitude,
recognizing their skills, abilities, and talents
 enerate bonds of friendship, cooperation, and solidarity among the actors of this event

CHAPTER III: ON ORGANIZATION


3.1 The XV Mathematics Reasoning Contest - 2011 is organized and sponsored by
our Educational Institution
3.2. The evaluation instruments will be objective and will be handled as follows:
First grade teachers will prepare for second grade students.
Second grade teachers will prepare for first grade students
The third-grade teachers will prepare for the fourth-grade students.
The fourth-grade teachers will prepare for the third-grade students.
The quiet grade teachers will prepare for the sixth grade students.
The sixth grade teachers will prepare for the fifth grade students.
3.3. All instruments will be delivered by the day... and hours... punctually.

CHAPTER IV: OF THE PARTICIPANTS
4.1 OF THE PARTICIPANTS
4.1.1 Students from 1st to 6th grade of Secondary Education from our school will be able to participate.

participants of the contest
4.1.3 The participating students will take a single test on the specified date and time.
4.1.4 Under no circumstances will substitute students be admitted in any of the grades.
CHAPTER V: OF THE EXECUTION AND PRESENTATION
The contest will take place on September 20 of this year, at our Institution.

5.2 The test will be administered at 9:00 AM, in all grades and simultaneously, in
a maximum time of 60 minutes.
5.3 To take the test, the respective grades must be under supervision.

CHAPTER VI: OF THE QUALIFYING JURY
6.1 The judging panel will be composed of the teacher in charge of overseeing the
section, who will correct the exams and then deliver them in order of merit with the percentage
of approved and disapproved to the commission.
The jury's verdict is final.
CHAPTER VII: ON THE PUBLICATION OF RESULTS AND AWARDS
7.1 The results will be published at the institutional headquarters on Friday, September 23.
The Educational Institution will reward the top two positions in each grade level:
 irst place; Delivery of Diploma.

CHAPTER VIII: SUPPLEMENTARY PROVISIONS


8.1 In case any irregularity is detected regarding compliance with these bases, the
contestant, and will be disqualified.
8.2 Any situation not foreseen in this regulation will be resolved by the
organizing committee.
