Lesson Plan Outline

Session 1: Alphabet & Pronunciation


(Objectives: Recognize and pronounce A–Z, Spell basic words aloud)

Vocabulary Focus:
• Letters A–Z
• Simple words (pen, bag, red, sun, etc.)
Activities:
• Alphabet drill (listen & repeat)
• Listening: Spell and identify words
• Speaking: Introduce self & spell name
• Reading: Find the missing letter activity
• Writing: Basic dictation

Grammar Focus: Subject pronouns (I, you, he, she, it, we, they)
Parts of Speech Focus: Nouns & Pronouns

Session 2: Self-Description & To Be


(Objectives: Use “to be” for basic descriptions, Talk about name, nationality, and age)

Vocabulary Focus:
• Countries, nationalities, numbers 1–20
Activities:
• Listening: Basic personal info audio
• Speaking: “I am from…” / “He is 30.”
• Reading: Fill in basic profiles
• Writing: Create your own short profile

Grammar Focus: Verb “to be” (am, is, are) – affirmative & negative
Parts of Speech Focus: Verbs (to be), adjectives
Session 3: Time Signals & Daily Routines
(Objectives: Use time expressions to describe routines, Talk about daily habits)

Vocabulary Focus:
• Time expressions: in the morning, at night, every day, always, sometimes
• Routine verbs: wake up, go, eat, work, sleep
Activities:
• Listening: Identify times and routines
• Speaking: “I go to work at 8 a.m.”
• Reading: Match routines to time
• Writing: Create a daily routine chart

Grammar Focus: Present simple – affirmative


Parts of Speech Focus: Verbs & Adverbs of frequency

Session 4: Describing People & Things


(Objectives: Use adjectives to describe people and objects)

Vocabulary Focus:
• Adjectives: tall, short, big, small, new, old, happy, tired
Activities:
• Listening: Guess who?
• Speaking: Describe a person or item
• Reading: Short description paragraphs
• Writing: Write 4–5 sentences about someone

Grammar Focus: “To be” + adjective


Parts of Speech Focus: Adjectives

Session 5: Simple Questions & Answers


(Objectives: Ask and answer basic WH- and Yes/No questions)

Vocabulary Focus:
• WH-words: what, where, who, when, how old
Activities:
• Listening: WH-questions in context
• Speaking: Q&A pairs (“What is your name?”)
• Reading: Short Q&A texts
• Writing: Write 5 WH-questions and answers

Grammar Focus: Yes/No and WH- questions with “to be”


Parts of Speech Focus: Question words (interrogatives)
Session 6: Articles & Plurals
(Objectives: Use a/an/the correctly, Make nouns plural)

Vocabulary Focus:
• Common classroom items and objects
Activities:
• Listening: A or an?
• Speaking: “It is a pen.” / “They are books.”
• Reading: Fill in missing articles
• Writing: Create simple sentences with correct article use

Grammar Focus: Singular/plural nouns + articles


Parts of Speech Focus: Nouns, Articles, Determiners

Session 7: Prepositions & Places


(Objectives: Describe positions and places using prepositions)

Vocabulary Focus:
• Prepositions: in, on, under, next to, between
• Places: home, school, park, supermarket
Activities:
• Listening: Where is the object?
• Speaking: “The book is on the table.”
• Reading: Picture + sentence matching
• Writing: Describe a room with prepositions

Grammar Focus: Prepositions of place + “There is/There are”

Session 8: Review & Communication Practice


Objectives: Review vocabulary and grammar from previous lessons, Use language in
short conversation tasks)

Vocabulary Focus:
• Review of Sessions 1–7
Activities:
• Listening: Real-life conversation clips
• Speaking: Roleplay (introductions, describing things)
• Reading: Complete a personal description text
• Writing: Self-description + 3 short responses to prompts

Grammar Focus: Mixed review (to be, articles, present simple, etc.)
Parts of Speech Focus: All covered so far (nouns, pronouns, verbs, adjectives, articles,
prepositions)

Note: There’s possibility in changing the topic due to objectives necessity, in


accordance of the student’s needs.
