Writing Task 1 - Map - Phương pháp
và 1 số VD
Về cách làm dạng Map, sẽ tương tự giống như cách làm
các dạng khác phần Task 1
Viết Introduction (chú ý paraphrase lại)
Viết overview (nêu 2 đặc điểm chung của biểu
đồ)
Mô tả các sự thay đổi và quyết định xem
nhóm thông tin vào 2 khổ thế nào ?
Sự khác nhau lớn nhất giữa dạng Map với các dạng biểu
đồ khác như : dây, cột , tròn bảng thông tin, process (mô
tả quá trình) ở ngôn ngữ, cấu trúc bạn sử dụng. Với dạng
map, bạn sẽ phải sử dụng nhiều các từ vựng cấu trúc mô
tả position, location (vị trí, địa điểm)
Thì:
Nếu có 1 bản đồ trong quá khứ và 1 bản đồ ở
hiện tại: dùng quá khứ đơn hoặc quá khứ
hoàn thành
Nếu có 1 bản đồ ở hiện tại và 1 bản đồ ở
tương lai: có thể dùng tương lai đơn, tương
lai hoàn thành

Overview
Nêu 2 đặc điểm tổng quát.
Chẳng hạn như có thêm shopping center,
super market, golf course => more options for
shopping and leisure activities.
Cây bị chặt, bãi sông thành khu dân cư =>
cutting out some of the natural beauty while
extending the residential area.
Thân bài
Nhóm thông tin thành 2 khổ, Nếu trong bản đồ có con
đường dài hoặc sông dài cắt ngang bản đồ thành 2 phẩn
thì chia 2 đoạn tương ứng với 2 bên của con sông hoặc
đường. Nếu không có thì đơn giản chia bản đồ thành 2
phần bằng nhau, mô tả từ bắc xuống nam hoặc đông
sang tây.

information by selecting and reporting the main
features, and make comparisons where relevant.

Overview:
Overall, the town became more developed, cutting out
some of the natural beauty while extending the
residential area and providing more options for shopping
and leisure activities

From 1936 to 2007, the area around the river was
developed into a residential area in the northeastern part
of the city. The number of trees located in the northwest
dropped significantly in the 71 year period.
In the center of the town, they built a new shopping
centre and the post office, bank and library remained.
The sweet shop and butchers were replaced with a
supermarket. Across from the post office, a travel agency
was built right on the site where the flower shop used to
be. The bike path in the southwest was redesigned as a
road. In the southeast, the government offices were
converted into a museum, and the adjacent farmland was
turned into a golf course.

The maps illustrate the changes of a town called
Harborne between 1936 and 2007.
Overall, over the period shown Harborne became more
developed with a totally new extended residential area
and far more places for shopping and recreation.
However, the town had fewer green areas in 2007 than it
used to be in 1936.
From 1936 to 2007, a new residential area was formed
along the river in the north eastern part of the city, and
the crooked cycle path in the south west was
reconstructed to become a curved road. However, 2 trees
in the north west were cut down over the same period. In
the south east the government offices were converted
into a museum, and the farmland next to it to the right
was transformed into a golf course.
In the center of the town, over the period shown, a totally
new shopping center was built while the post office, bank
and library stayed unchanged. The sweet shop and
butchers were replaced by a supermarket, and to the left
of the bank was a new travel agency which was erected
right on the area where the flower shop used to be in
1936.

town of Lakeside at the begining of the 21st
century. Summarise the information by selecting and
reporting the main features, and make comparisons
where relevant.
Bài này sẽ nhóm thân bài bằng cách chia 2 khổ theo
2 bên con sông
The two maps show how the town of Lakeside developed
over a ten-year period from 2000 to 2009.
It is clear that the town changed considerably over the
period shown, with the disappearance of some residential
areas and the expansion of the industrial complex as well
as other service areas.
In the north of the river, the derelict warehouse and old
town were knocked down, which were replaced by a car
park, offices and a new university in the latter year. Multi-
screen cinema was built on the site of the old arts center
in the west of the town, and the school was converted
into newer schools. The only part of Lakeside that
remained unchanged was the large residential area
situated in the northeast of the town.
In the south of the river, the most striking change was the
disappearance of the residential area which was
demolished to make way for an extension of the industrial
complex. In contrast, the lake became a small pond in
2009.

Overall, over the period shown Lakeside became more
developed and industrialized with less natural beauty but
far more places for shopping, studying and relaxation.
The most striking change is that in the south east of the
town, the old industrial complex was combined with a
small residential area and a part of the woodland to
become a much larger industrial complex. However, on
the opposite side of the town to the north west, a large
residential area remained over the period shown.
In 2009, there were no longer derelict warehouses and
old town in the north of the town but a new car park and
offices that were newly constructed. Another interesting
point is that the arts center and residential area in the
west of the town were converted into a multi-screen
cinema and shopping center respectively. Over the same
period, more schools and universities were built on the
site where old school and part of the green land used to
be. A big lake that the river originates from dwindled to a
small pond.
