Rocks Reflection

1. The lesson was about rocks, their textures and colors. The KG2B students explored rocks by touching them and discussing their textures and colors in groups. 2. The students worked in groups to pass rocks around and share what they observed. They asked many questions about comparing and contrasting the rocks' textures and colors, showing their understanding. 3. In the future, the teacher will include more challenging activities as higher-level students finished quickly. She will also improve classroom management using a reward system.

Identify a lesson and what standards are you addressing
The lesson was about the rocks texture and colors, and I let the students tach and see the color of the
rocks. However, I let the students to play with a group of rocks had on hand.

Describe (D):
Who is the lesson for? The lesson was for kg 2 B and the activities for the all level.
Where did the lesson take place? The lesson was in the classroom in the group tables, but the whole
activity was in the front of the classroom.
What were you trying to achieve in your lesson? I tried to let the students explore the rocks texture by
touch the rocks and discuss about it in groups and they saw the colors of the rocks.
What did the students do? The students worked in-group in a sense, when they had to pass the rocks
around themselves and they share the rocks they have few.

Analyze (A):
Why do you think the students responded the way that they did? The students extended the investigation
by asking so many questions about the rocks. they asked me to compare and contrast by texture and
colors. They were asked me questions that showed me they were learning and understanding what I was
teaching them.
How well did your teaching relate to the students’ prior understanding? It’s don’t relate that much to the
prior but I try by connected with the math lesson by let them counting the rocks also I was give them the
colors so I ask them about it in the rocks lesson.

How well did you engage the students? I engaged the students by connect the lesson with daily lives
experience by talked about rocks color and shapes and sizes , beside that I took them about side to
explore the rocks in the garden of the school.

Explain the nature of the experience from the students’ perspective
Did your lesson meet your teaching goals? The students were doing the activities well and they ask me
about the rocks that shows me that they understand the lesson.

Transform (T):
How might you enhance student learning of this lesson in the future? I the future I will use more
challenging activities for the students because that most of the high level students were finish the
activities fast and they do the extra 3 activity .
What are the implications for your professional practice?
I will improve my classroom management by using reward system for manage them.
