Christmas Joy

And the angel said to them, “Fear not, for behold, I bring you good news of great joy that will be for all the people.  For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Savior, who is Christ the Lord.

Luke 2:10-11

I'm up on the Stamp Simply blog today with this festive holiday card in traditional colors. The background was stamped on a piece of patterned paper from Test of Time paper pad. The Poinsettia was stamped on mixed media paper and colored with Arteza Real Brush Pens.

Lantern Light

One last card for November and this one features the awesome NEW Lantern Light stamp and die set from Creative Worship Stamps. The images were stamped on mixed media paper and colored with Arteza Real Brush Pens. While its fun creating my own backgrounds, I also like using my designer papers from my stash like this Old World Winter paper pad I picked up at Hobby Lobby years ago.

Unspeakable Gift

Today's card features the NEW Lantern Light stamps and dies from Creative Worship Stamps. This was part of last month's release that I didn't get posted since I was away helping dad after my mom went home to be with Jesus. The background was embossed with the Moroccan Tile embossing folder and then I lightly rubbed gold ink over the top to make the design stand out.

The First Christmas

Today's card features a NEW Christmas stamp set from Creative Worship Stamps called The First Christmas. I stamped the images on a piece of printable music paper and added a little color with Arteza Real Brush Pens. After tearing around the edges, I inked them with Vintage Photo Distress Ink. I added a die cut wreath around baby Jesus and a torn sentiment to one corner. A printable gingham paper strip adds a bit more color to this vintage style holiday card.

The Card Concept - Christmas Wreath

It's time for our last challenge of 2024 over on The Card Concept blog.

Today's challenge is: Christmas Wreath
Everyone is welcome to play along using the colors, the theme,
textures, items, or just anything from the picture as your starting point.

I was inspired by the theme and colors when I created my mixed media card.
Is it even Christmas if I don't pull out these three Tim Holtz dies and create something? (smile) Seriously, I use this same combo every year, changing it up just a bit. This year I die cut the wreath and flowers from colored card stock and added shading with distress inks. I printed a shabby wood digital paper for behind my window and stamped the text background.

 Supplies and Tools:

  • Cathedral Window Bigz die (Tim Holtz - Sizzix)
  • Funky Wreaths Dies (Tim Holtz - Sizzix)
  • Festive Bouquet Dies (Tim Holtz - Sizzix)
  • Vintage Christmas Images Stamp Set (Stamp Simply)
  • Shabby Wood Digital Papers (Altendi)
  • White Acrylic Paint Splatters
  • These colors of Distress Ink (Ranger):
    • Rustic Wilderness, Aged Mahogany
