Mixed Media Background

I pulled out that awesome Simon Says Stamp magnolia branch 3D embossing folder again! This time I created a mixed media background by ink smooshing some distress inks and adding some white paint splatters. After I embossed the flowers, I highlighted them with platinum brilliance ink to make them stand out from the background and add a bit of shimmer.

Magnolia Branches

Today's card was designed "just for the joy of creating," and features supplies from two awesome companies -- Simon Says Stamp & Altenew! I love the way the moonlight white ink makes the 3D flowers stand out from the background!

Rustic Cabin Window

Happy Friday! Today's card features the beautiful "Spring Windows" stamp set from Simon Says Stamp. I had fun practicing no-line watercoloring on this card, and creating wood siding with the 3D Lumber embossing folder from Tim Holtz.

Coffee Blessings

Today's card features a variety of products from some of my favorite companies and super sponsors of the Coffee Lover's Blog Hop. I used this week's Tic Tac Toe Challenge board as inspiration.

To create the background: I stenciled the roses and leaves in distress oxide inks and spritzed them generously with water. After a bit of blotting and heat setting, I realigned the stencil and added more ink, along with some text and splatters.
