It is about a bachelor who becomes the unwilling guardian of his autistic, intellectually disabled sister. Aaron Eckhart and Elizabeth Shue give terrible performances. The script is badly written. John Duigan did a horrible job directing this movie. I was not impressed with this motion picture. Elizabeth Shue is certainly no Cliff Robertson (who played a similar character in Charly) and hell not even a Matthew Modine (who played a similar character in a later film) AND this film has the always execrable Aaron Eckhart, there is a certain fascination about this film for just that.
